Here to help you have that confidence in yourself.

You wake up in the morning and think about what you look like. You walk to the mirror and stare at yourself. You scrutinise every feature that you can see. You look at your bright eyes surrounded by eyelashes of different lengths. You look at your brows whether they’re thick or thin. You look at yourself and what do you think? Think beauty. Think special. Think beautiful. Think handsome. Think intelligent. Think positive thoughts. You wake up in the morning and believe that you are who you are. Nobody can force you to change yourself. You don’t need to change for anyone because guess what? You are perfect. We’ve been taught for a long time that no one is perfect but if you think you’re perfect, who even has the right to tell you otherwise? No one.

You leave the house knowing that you are a human. You walk out with your head held high and know that there is only one of you in the world. Flaunt your best features, whether it is by dressing smart or wearing make up. Whether it is defying what society sees as acceptable. Know that society will never appreciate you for who you are. The only person who can do that is you. Focus on what you think not what other people think and love yourself.

Defying Societal Norms

Never think that you need to live your life suiting the society’s needs. Whether you’re a man who feels more feminine or vice versa. If you want to wear make up, you go and wear that make up. Since when was make up gendered? I’ve never seen make up that says “only for women” and I don’t think you have either. Am I right? Same goes for wearing clothes that are labelled as “masculine clothes”. Eeerrrrr but does it say “only for men” though? Nope. See what I’m getting at here. Norms have been created and can be altered as well. Once upon a time, it was seen unacceptable for women to wear trousers but look at how this concept has changed. This is same for the norms that are set now in the society. If you want to defy it, you can do it and eventually more people will follow and thus that specific norm will be altered to be more accepting.

You Can Do It

You want to do something? You go do it. You need something? You go get it. Don’t let anyone try to change your mind. Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do something and if they do, let that be a means of motivation for you. Do everything you can do to achieve that goal that so and so told you you can’t do. Prove them wrong. The power to do something rests in your hand and no one can take that away from you. Don’t let other people’s words bring your self esteem down. Don’t let their words affect you to the point that you accept what they’re saying is the truth. The only person in between you and your goal is you. If you don’t have the motivation or the resilience to achieve a goal of yours, you will struggle to reach that goal. However, if you persevere through every struggle to reach your goal, believe me when I say that achieve your goal will feel so sweet.

Little Note From Me

I hope that this little advice page empowered you and made you feel more positive about yourself. I talk about loving yourself because I went through a phase where I felt little and in no way empowered. I felt worthless and hated myself. It was a very hard point in life for me but I fought through it. God didn’t give me this life for me to give up so soon. I noticed that writing my feelings down helped me and slowly but surely I started believing in myself again. So I simply wanted to help people who are struggling as well. Helping at least one person would be a dream come true.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and know that every single one of you has great assets and if you don’t think so, it’s because you haven’t found it yet.
