Have you ever felt so scared of something that you attempt to avoid it at all costs? Maybe it's a mistake one of your loved ones has done or a decision they have embarked on that you do not approve of. Just the thought of it happening to you makes you sick.

It happened to me time and time again. And I see it happening so often to others too.

I convinced myself that I will never allow the event or reaction to happen to me. From distancing myself from loved ones to specific parenting methods, what I feared kept attracting itself into my life.

I have finally understood why. I now understand what to avoid and allow into our mindset to stop attracting our fears into our lives.

Life works in mysterious logical ways. It goes around and makes you experience that of which you fear most. That is the exact law of life.

The scales will return to balance, placing you into that exact situation you once looked down upon, in order to test your resilience and ethics. How you react will depend on you, and only you have the power to shift it to your advantage. Sadly, I have seen many people when faced with the exact daunting experience, they react either in the exact same way if not worse.

It’s when you attach to a thought, dwell on a thought, constantly worry about a thought, and fear a thought that you begin to believe a thought. And when you believe something, you take actions based on those beliefs, and that’s when you manifest it.

- Excerpt from In My Sacred Space

Everything is Energy

Every thought carries with it energy and vibration. That fearful thought that you negative energy and causes physical and mental stress in the body. It thrives on your attention. The more you spend time processing and dwelling on the thought, the more you feed it and the faster it expands and manifests into your life. You unintentionally attract it into your life by focusing on it and feeding it from your time and mental energy.

Do This Instead

Approach everything with gratitude

If you fear something, take a step back, rebalance yourself and look at it from another perspective.

Make sure to stay mindful of your ego and don’t think of it as this will not happen to me. This adds more negative vibration to the raw fear.

Acknowledge what you fear, be grateful for the fact that you are not in this situation, and let it go. Do not feed it anymore. Negative energy feeds on a fear-based mentality and it's further highlighted through negative traits such as a strong ego.

Instead, look at it from a more humble perspective.

I usually phrase it like this :

  • This is how this person reacted, it is their experience and they are responsible for their reaction.
  • We are all susceptible to being exposed to this experience at any time and I hope that if my time comes for such a test, I aim to react in a logical positive way that is best for me.

Detach from any strong emotions you have regarding what you fear as that will make the thought powerless.

This way you are letting go of any subjective judgment, sense of superiority or expectation on how you would have handled the situation better or how you are more privileged to not have to experience such a test.
