Spell work can be a tricky and exhausting business, But it can also be extremely helpful and fun. There are so many different ways to practice it and to learn it, But today we’re going to be talking about Spellwork/Intention Bowls and how to make them.

What I find most enticing about this type of magic is that you have a lot of free reign here. You're working with herbs, crystals, candles and even color magic- Sometimes you can add sigils and other times spare coins.

Recently, I created an abundance bowl and I figured it would be helpful to share my tips and secrets.

Before I begin my bullet points, I’d like to stress that this is improv; Sometimes it's best to use the stones and herbs that call to you because your intuition is your greatest asset in the craft.

Let's start with your bowl, A lot of witches will tell you to use a color-specific bowl to match your intentions- However, If you don’t have a specific bowl you can always use a natural color or a clear glass bowl; Remember, Glass bowls are like Clear Quarts or white candles..They make amazing substitutes.

Remember, Your first step should always be to cleanse your supplies, Especially your stones and bowl. Negative energies tend to linger so always cleanse thoroughly and safely.

If you’ve read any of my previous metaphysical articles you’ll know the meanings of candle colors and how to properly use candle magic. Even if you haven’t, Use a green candle and set it safely in the middle of your bowl.

For this Article we’ll be focusing on Luck and monetary abundance, So when it comes to herbs you should use the ones that call to you the most for this purpose. I used Jasper (For luck), Cinnamon (for prosperity, Good luck & Abundance), Patchouli (For manifestation), Basil (Wealth), Add them to the bottom of your bowl to set your intentions.

Now it's time for your crystals! Of course, If you don't have any of these it's fine to just substitute with ones you have that contain the same properties; Citrine (Wealth and prosperity), Amethyst (Good luck), Jade (For manifestation and power.)

Side note, If you simply have a green crystal it's a perfect opportunity to use color magic.

When making a spell bowl for abundance it's important to add monetary gains such as coins- For the sake of being fireproof always use spare change and unless your bowl is huge don’t use a dollar as that can be flammable.

For every spell bowl you make, Be sure that your intentions are clear- This isn’t a complicated form of magic but if your end goal is all over the place; You won't be getting anything from the practice aside from wasted ingredients.

If you find these steps easy to follow, Feel free to use them for your own improv spell bowl! Remember, you don’t have to follow all of my instructions to the letter as long as you keep your intentions steady and your magic clean.

As always, Remember to blow out all your candles (Never snuff them out), Always keep a window open when you cleanse your bowl and supplies (So you don’t trap the bad energy, This is so it has somewhere to go.)

I always encourage you to do your own research and study to practice magic in your own way. However, I’ll always be there to guide you and help with some witchy wicked tips! Practice fire safety, Always use the right sigils and Remember there's no such thing as bad magic; Just bad intentions.

Blessed be, My friends.
