A work of a genius isn’t found in the time frame they make their work or the actions they take to get there. Those are just some of the ways things come together for them. Cerina Galvan’s genius was found in the meaning behind her writing. The art that allowed you to think deeply about what your purpose was in the eyes of God. It allows you to feel less alone when trying to decipher life. Her work asks the big questions and allows you to come up with the answer on your own. It at the very least allows you to think of an answer that can pertain to your own life. She joyfully guides you into the arms of God. She allows you to find hope in the struggles life gives for most of us.

The struggle to overcome the dark and evil that surrounds us all. She doesn’t shy away from the darkness or truth that we all face. She brings it forward and somehow turns it into light. Her poem “Dear Moon” was the beginning of something special. The moon is known for hanging out in the night and the night time some may fear or see it as a time where we either rest or go insane. Some may stay up at night and experience insomnia, deep thoughts, frustrations of the day, and so forth. However with her work, she found solace in the night. She found a sense of calm. Her thoughts pondered the loneliness that we may feel that allows us to act on certain emotions the next day. Especially, if we don’t know how to let the loneliness go. She found a brilliant way of seeing the moon as a wise tale. A tale of wisdom with Gods creation that is always there and never wavers it’s purpose.

The next piece of work that has become her best selling novel is “Little Did She Know” which is a memoir about her life and how it drew her closer and closer to god. Cerina experienced feeling different but not knowing why early in life. Especially since she was so quiet and didn’t say very much the first few years of her life. Eventually, living in her mind allowed to feel lonely and a want to have someone close to her. When she got older, she couldn’t find anyone that understood nor loved her the way she wanted to be loved. So, she asked God for help. What happens next will shock you and allow you to boggle your mind. However in the end she shares lessons and a warmth that brings an understanding of who may god may be to you.

This is why I recommend her work. She gives a lot of great honest, detailed and thoughtful stories and quotes that makes you feel like you understand her and God maybe a little bit more. A little more is a seed she plants, a seed to the mystery of god. It is surprising to me that she hasn’t been recognized for her work yet. However, I think she could appreciate her overlooked and underdog role that has helped her become an important contributor to the Christian community.

She was a quiet girl and still is. She has a mental disorder but the way she puts words into action and meaning resonates with a lot who are trying to find God in the midst of the darkness. She grew up very shy and struggled with finding her purpose. Now, I think like so many of us she has it down. She also prides herself in being a mother.
