In today’s busy world, we opt for spending a day in nature just to help us get away from the everyday mayhem around us. However, we mostly aren’t prepared for spending time in nature, neither are we truly respectful for what it has given us. In order to truly be able to enjoy all the benefits nature can give, you have to deepen your relationship with Mother Earth and focus on giving, not only on taking. Here are five ways to help you get there and enjoy all the beauty nature has to offer more than you ever could.

Spend more time among plants and animals

We encounter countless trees, bushes, stray dogs, and cats every day, and somehow we never seem to notice them. Even people can become astray, and our own thoughts and worries become the only thing that matters. Well, it’s time to change that. The next time you go out, focus your attention on a tree that’s closest to your home and imagine it was inhabited by spirits. Have you ever noticed that tree before, aside from complaining about how it blocks the sunlight to your window? Plants and animals are living beings too, and you should start treating them as such.

Use all-natural products

Have you ever thought about where the food you eat every day comes from? If that avocado was not grown in your backyard garden, you should know that it has traveled A LOT to get to you, and during this process, food can change drastically. One way to make sure you are using natural products that enhance your relationship with nature is to make sure you know what you are feeding your body with. Same goes for supplements, which can be fairly problematic if they are of bad quality or rotten. For example, if you use kratom powder to relax or relieve pain, you should know how to find a quality kratom shop to provide you with always fresh and tested products. You’re not going to deepen your bond with nature if you use products that can harm you, or whose origin you are not familiar with.

Do a mind cleanse

There is no clean body without a clean spirit, and cleansing should be done in your mind first. In order to get into a state of mind that will help you strengthen your bond with nature, you should learn how to meditate and practice mindful techniques. Remember that you are only a part of nature, and that without it, you could not survive, so try being as thankful as possible to all that nature has given you. Feel the light breeze on your skin as a caress and listen to bird songs like they were symphonies composed just for you. From time to time, just close your eyes and simply breathe. You will see how your mind becomes more focused and detoxicated from everyday stress.

Spend sleepless nights stargazing

A world without stars would be as poor as a human being without love. Stars are nature’s true gift to Earth that help us wonder beyond our own faith and decenter from our selfish needs. For many millennia, people have turned to the stars to find answers to the mysteries of life, so you can find a way to connect to nature through stars, as well. When you don’t feel like sleeping, take a trip away from the city lights to avoid light pollution and spend a night gazing at the sky, simply imagining what they might be hiding and admiring their beauty.

Help Mother Earth recover

The Earth only gives us as much as we give back to it, so help Mother Earth recover every time you use her resources. Humans are the only reason why Earth is slowly dying and why we are currently struggling to stop global warming and natural disasters. Nature can be cruel, but it only is when we have made it angry ourselves, or if we are not prepared to face it. In ordered to be truly thankful for what nature has given us, we need to give back as much as we can, and possibly even more.

It is up to us as individuals to think about Earth’s future and what we will be leaving to nature and our offspring. Let’s make Earth a better place instead of making it worse, and one way to do so is to seal the bond with nature and never let go.
