Gifts that adults will enjoy!

Guess what? Christmas is just around the corner. Shopping malls are busy and parking spots are slim. During the pandemic is makes staying safe hard. However, Amazon has been the best way for gift shopping, and don’t forget making your own presents is always an option if you are broke. For this vocal media competition, I put together a list of gifts to give to your family members who are already grown up.

1. Dad: the second easiest gift to find. Is it just me or do fathers often have holes in their socks? That’s why the number 1 item on the list is socks. No one can have too many pairs of socks. Dark chocolate is also much appreciated by the fathers of the world.

You mustn’t forget about the whiskey though. My dad also liked to pour himself a glass of whiskey, sit back, read on his IPad, and sip his whiskey. I recommended buying an Old Forester 86 Proof as it is a good choice for the wallet and the pallet. Can’t go wrong with it.

2. Mothers: the easiest to shop for. You can draw a doodle and she would be happy with it. However, if you are more talented and care about her more than a doodle, you can make a saltwater dough ornament and paint it with acrylic paints after. It’s easy to make and does not cost too much either. The best part is that she can reuse the decorations every year. All you need is salt, water, and flour those are ingredients that are always in your house.

Another gift that mothers appreciate is a picture frame and a picture of your family in it already. That way she can enjoy looking at it already and does not have to go through all the family photos. It is an easy gift for you to find and any store carries picture frames even dollar stores.

3. Brothers or brothers-in-law: depends on what they like. For the outdoorsmen and sports fan you can buy them a good local hiking book or collecting cards of their favourite hockey team. If he is more of a homebody then you can help him save a few months of Netflix by gift card or if you like more meaning in your gifts then a card game such as Dutch Blitz will be perfect. You could always straight up ask the person what they would want, if you’re willing to spend a little more than buying them the latest video game is a great idea as well. I personally would want to get something that the wife can enjoy as well that’s why getting a board game would be great.

4. Sisters and sisters-in-law. Sisters can be difficult to shop for as women tend to be more choosy about what they want. However, for the girly sister buying nail polish from Sally Hansen can save your life and throw in some make-up brushes and maybe a gift card to winners.

If she loves the outdoors get a camping metal mug for trips with Marino wool socks or a camping book of best campgrounds or local hikes.

However, a good bottle of their favourite wine with a tumbler is a great gift, you can find some really nice travel wine mugs on Amazon.

5. Aunts and Uncles. Aunts and uncles are easy to please with a bottle of red wine from British Columbia and a box of Ferraro Rocher. If that doesn’t fit then a pair of driving gloves for winter will suffice. Another gift is tea because everyone at least has one flavor of tea they love. For the thinker in the family it’s good to get a philosophical book like something Plato had written or if they are artistic getting a pack of cheap paints will also be a gift much appreciated.

Don’t forget wine can save your struggles of trying to think of something unique. Hopefully, this list gave you some great ideas for a fantastic gift.
