As a college student myself, I have tried almost everything that there is out there to try and make some cash using the internet and, as expected, some of those things were fairly useless, but I have decided to share the websites and tips that have worked for me and that I've really earned money from. Because it IS possible!

1: ONLINE SURVEYS

This is something almost everyone knows about by now, and that's because surveys really do work! Sometimes they allow you to exchange points you make by answering surveys with vouchers to shop online, but sometimes you can even convert the points into PayPal money. So far my favorite websites have been Swagbucks, Toluna and Lifepoints, as all three have allowed me to make real money relatively fast.

2: GIVE LESSONS ONLINE

Are you good at something? Whatever that might be, you can give online lessons and create classes to teach other people how to be as good as you are. If you are fluent in more than one language, you might want to sign up for websites such as Italki, on which you can give language lessons and get paid for them, or Neevo, on which you can get paid for translating things. If languages aren't your forte but you're really good at something else, you can make an account on Grinfer and create your personal class about anything you want, or you can sign up on Fiverr to sell your talents to whoever might need it.

3: START A BLOG

If you're reading this article on this website, you probably already know that you can get paid by writing on here so you might decide to do it yourself as well, but it's not the only way to do it: you can start your own blog using sites such as Wordpress or Wix and start building an audience, even if that might take a bit longer to start earning money with. If you're in college, a little tip would be to start a blog about what you're majoring in, so that you can also keep yourself motivated to study and you will be much more knowledgeable than others, making your blog more interesting to read.

4: SELL YOUR PRODUCTS OR ART

It's fairly easy to start your own online "business" these days if you have some creativity. The easiest way to do this is probably through the website Redbubble, especially if you're an artist, as it allows you to sell your pieces of art in different formats and you also get to pick the earning margin for each sale, all this without having to worry about actually fabricating the product, shipping and handling. If you want to set up your own store, you can do so using sites such as Shopify and create the products using Printful. It is that simple!

5: START A YOUTUBE CHANNEL

Everyone knows how much professional YouTubers can earn, but even with a much smaller channel you can start making some money fairly quickly just as long as you are consistent with your content and make it as high quality as possible (though you don't need very expensive equipment from the start, that can come later). In the end, all you really need is the strength to post that video you've been thinking of posting for a while, you never know where that might take you! Of course building an audience on YouTube is easier if you already have somewhat of an online presence on social media websites, like Instagram or Tumblr. Whatever it is you want to talk about, someone on the internet somewhere wants to hear it, so take that chance.
