That's Cool, But Will You Do It?

Pragmatism In Peak Performance

A lot of people are interested in the Idea of becoming the best version of themselves.

It's awesome to see people truly take an interest in working toward their Potential.

In that search, you can find A LOT of resources across the internet.

Books, articles, videos, and more.

There are many extremely FASCINATING things that people are doing to reach the Height of their Performance.

Sometimes it is "fascinating" for all of the wrong Reasons, but that is beside the point for today.

What I would rather get at is this.

All that Information is Extremely Cool, but will YOU Do it?

I don't mean this in an attacking way, don't misunderstand me.

I am asking you this in a very genuine and curious way.

Will You Do It?

More importantly, too, is Will You Do it Consistently?

It is truly magnificent that there are so many people who are interested in pushing the boundaries of what human beings can do.

I'm all for it!

But there's a point where we have to be Honest with ourselves and ask if we really are going to go through with whatever these different things are?

The Honest Truth is that for 99% of us, even if we "knew" whatever was the "Absolute Best Way" to supposedly "Live Life", we either wouldn't want to do it or we wouldn't be able to for one reason or another.

It may be EXTREMELY Cool to see what is possible, but it has little Meaning to "Us" individually if we can't or won't actually "Do" it.

Plus, the most Benefits in Life occur when we do things Consistently, so if there isn't an Ability to have that Consistency, why Focus on it?

This isn't a dig at Researchers and people who are Actively working on Creating and Innovating new Solutions.

What I'm getting at is being Pragmatic with our Day-to-Day lives.

Most people Sacrifice Today and what is Absolutely Possible to have a Good Life, for an Idea of what may never actually occur.

If you do this, that "tomorrow" may never come.

Even if it "does", it may still end up being completely out of your reach.

To give you an example, let's take Dieting.

How many people talk about how a certain type of Diet "must" be the Solution for them, yet they never seem to take steps toward it?

Or on the other Extreme, people who go ALL IN on a Diet, only to despise it and quit in a short time.

Or WORSE they overdo it and end up in the Hospital due to the shock their body couldn't handle?

Many of these Diets are "Cool", but will you DO It?

Will you stick to it after 10 days or 30 days, or however long the "Challenge" is?

If you won't, you need to seriously reconsider your Approach.

Often, Fast Changes and Inconsistent Behavior (not just in Dieting, but in ALL of Life) can actually cause a LOT of damage to us.

Not just Physically, though that obviously happens as well.

Emotionally, Spiritually (i.e. Purpose), Mentally.

So often when we Don't or Can't DO these things, it leaves Wreckage.

We start to think less of ourselves.

We begin to feel helpless.

Ideas of us simply not being "Destined" for better things begin to occur.

But none of these are TRUE!

We just chose a path to do things that was doomed from the start!

It doesn't "have" to be that way though!

If we look at what is possible, but Focus on what we CAN do, and actually DO it Consistently, we can get AMAZING Results!

Often our Progress will be faster and we can go further than we could ever Imagine!

But you have to take it back to the question, Will YOU Do it?
