The Benefits of Committing to Volunteer Work
Why Should You Volunteer? Unfortunately, finding time to volunteer can be complicated due to busy schedules. However, volunteering can benefit both the volunteer and the community. It can help individuals develop new skills and connect with others more meaningfully.

Top 10 Ways of Building Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Parks
Parks are about much more than making a community more visually appealing and liveable. Parks can also help to protect and conserve our natural areas, as well as promote a healthy ecosystem. A park architecture Atlanta that is designed primarily for aesthetics and recreation may not be as sustainable or beneficial. There are ways to design parks that consider those two factors, but the impact on the environment should be a top priority.

My Farewell Letter to 2022
This year honestly started out less than phenomenal for me. Like, way less than phenomenal. I tested positive for Covid-19 on Christmas of 2021, and had to subsequently cancel the surprise birthday trip to North Carolina I had planned for my boyfriend’s New Year’s Eve birthday. No trip, no seeing my boyfriend on his birthday, and no New Year’s kiss. Sufficient to say, I wasn’t feeling all to excited about what 2022 had in store.

Should I Stay, Or Should I Go?
👋🏾 It’s EDB, thats Erik DeSean Barrett. How is it going? What is it? Five days from the big day? I hope you have been nice. We don’t need Santa in the customer service line of the Walmart; returning your Christmas. Speaking of Christmas gifts. Have you gotten all yours yet? Or the real question I’d like to ask. Pardon for being nosy? And its ok, if you tell me, none of my business. But would you, or are you, getting a present for an Ex? I don’t know if this is worst, or just going deeper, but what if the gift, coming from an Ex, was them? Would you accept them back? I’ve been thinking about this, because of an article, I read in The Atlantic. Faith Hill, is under the impression,

It is truly the most wonderful time of the year, and hopefully this year, we will actually feel it. Anyone remember the old Christmas show; The Year Without a Santa Claus? It is a 1974 stop motion animated Christmas television special produced by Rankin/Bass Productions.

To the Next Generation
These words are my own. I write them as a card-carrying member of the millennial generation. Coming of age during the turn of the century was both a terrifying and exhilarating experience. Like generations before me, both domestic and global events, coupled with the fallout from a constantly connected world, defined my life and the lives of my generation.

Me, Myself, Undisguised
As is often with me, I find myself not directly answering a prompt, as if I was intimidated by it. I go on rants, or go off course, somehow finding my way to an answer. It reminds me of William Zinsser’s statement about writing in On Writing Well (a book I think every writer should read more than once): “All writing is ultimately a question of solving a problem.”

Nobody likes You When You’re Twenty-Three
So in less than a week I will finally be turning twenty four and I have decided to do a couple of things before that day. I want to have my house absolutely spotless beforehand so I have been tidying away at my house for the last few days, trying to make everything perfect. This is to try and get myself into a nice clear headspace before I begin to focus on chapter 24 of my story.
