How to Climb the Career Ladder in 2018?
2018 is approaching fast, and it seems to be a good time to review your career goals. It is a good time for self-analysis and to ask questions like: "Am I at the position I wanted to be in my career?" or "Did I meet my career goals this year?" While some individuals might answer in positive to these questions, a majority of people are still unaware about where their career is heading. A few people might be concerned about scoring a promotion, but a major chunk of them would be trying to understand what went wrong and why their career has suddenly turned stagnant, despite putting all efforts. Once you have studied it and understood what not to repeat for the coming years, take the following steps to enhance your career.

Being a freelancer isn't easy. And if we were honest about it, it can be downright brutal. You're always on the hunt for a new gig, you may have clients that just like to tear you down, and at times, there's no real way to figure out if your work will be accepted.
Ossiana TepfenhartPublished 6 years ago in JournalHow to Decline a Job Interview
It can happen to anyone who's searching for a job. You applied to a bunch of them, then got a callback to your dream job—only to have a callback happen at a place you would only work at if you were desperate. Or, perhaps, you applied to a place with enthusiasm and got a call back, only to read reviews that made you realize it's not the right fit for you. Either way, you will probably need to decline a job interview.
Cato ConroyPublished 6 years ago in JournalI Don't Like My Job and How I Survive It
I am not sure I like my job. I think I used to like it... I think. Back when making my 30K a year meant something huge. That was ten years ago. I'm still here, making a tad more money, and just about every day I consider whether or not I like my job. I also consider how long I can ride on unemployment, how much I could make working at TJ Maxx or if I can make money doing what I actually like doing. Problem is I don't know what I like doing... besides sitting on my comfy sofa watching shit reality TV. Can I get paid for that?

How to Craft a Killer Pitch Deck
As an entrepreneur, nothing can seem more overwhelming than getting up in front of investors to pitch as you try to raise funds. And I’ll be honest, it’s going to be a massive part of what you do as a founder, especially in the early years. But, like any job you need the right tool (unless you're Thor, then you just need a hammer). Your pitch deck is going to be that tool. What goes in that pitch deck? Let's talk about it.

There are 3 steps. Step 1: Preparation I believe I am speaking for most of my generation when I say we have all been there, the dreaded day where you print off 10+ résumés and have a list in hand of places to apply, you put on a nice outfit, and you hit the pavement.
Chelsey LynnPublished 7 years ago in JournalThe Form 1040 Tax Return: Claiming Your Adjustments, Exemptions, Deductions and Credits.
The apparent complexity of tax laws is probably one of the main reasons why people, in general, might be turned off from trying to educate themselves concerning basic tax matters that would enable them to attempt doing their own taxes. But even if they choose not to do their taxes themselves, having basic tax knowledge would enable them to understand what their preparers are doing, and place them in a position to detect any possible errors.
