Costuming Bodies Should Not Be This Harmful
There are few places in theater where carelessnes becomes intimate faster than the costume fitting. A person steps into a room already vulnerable. Already visible. Already being asked, in one way or another, to let their body be handled, assessed, discussed, measured, shaped, fastened, altered, and made useful to a production. That process can be collaborative. It can be affirming. It can be deeply respectful. Done well, costuming can help an actor feel seen, held, and supported in the world of the show.

Whispered Warnings Are Not a Safety Plan
Theater has a predator problem. That sentence should not feel controversial by now. It should not feel edgy. It should not feel like an overstatement. A Story That is 2000 Stories in the Making
I truly can't believe that this story is actually my 2000th on Vocal. That's a nice round number, isn't it? It's one of two milestones I'll reach this year, as in a few weeks, it'll mark five years for me on Vocal. I've written quite a lot for sure. Sports stories, previews, Colorado Avalanche recaps, stories about shows and characters and all else. Fiction stories that would make Lifetime movie fans smile, as well as fans of women's wrestling. And I have written things that needed to be written; stories that call out double standards and mention important issues.

The Things We Learn From TV Programs
Introduction I watch a lot of television and some of my favourite series are ones that drop in interesting facts as part of the stories that they tell. One of my favourites is "Elementary" with Lucy Liu and Johnny Lee Miller. I watched the whole series and then restarted from the beginning and still thoroughly enjoy it and I may rewatch it when I am finished.

Eric Swalwell Allegations Explained: What CNN Reported, What He Denies, and Why the Story Is Reshaping California Politics
