King Charles Bars Private Funds from Prince Andrew’s Legal Challenge
King Charles III has taken a firm and deliberate stance: his private funds will not be used to support former Prince Andrew’s legal action against the police over his arrest earlier this year. The former Duke of York, now known formally as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor following the removal of his royal titles, has launched proceedings seeking a judicial review of the lawfulness of his arrest and the searches conducted at his homes. A private court hearing is scheduled for Thursday, October 8, but in a clear separation of responsibilities, the King has insisted that the regular stipend he provides his brother from personal resources must not be diverted toward these legal expenses.

The Murdoch Marriage Playbook: Rules, Timing, and Who Got What
Many people treat Rupert Murdoch’s marriages as gossip: the media mogul, the young wife, the huge divorce settlement, the IVF-born daughters. Anna Torv becomes “the long-suffering first wife.” Wendi Deng becomes “the ambitious mistress.” That framing has drama. It also hides the part that mattered: rules, timing, and bargaining chips.

She Married a Saudi Billionaire. When He Died, She Got $1.1 Million.
One Loujain Adada was fourteen when a fashion magazine shot her first ad. The Beirut sun baked the studio like a steamer. She stood under the lights; the photographer said, “Chin down a little,” and she did. That was the first time she traded her body and her expressions for money.

The Contract Before the Kiss
Rupert Murdoch has married five times and divorced four. That arithmetic invites the wrong story. What looks like romantic restlessness is something colder and more coherent: a man who learned early to treat marriage as a renewable service contract and divorce as a line item with a pre-negotiated ceiling.

She Was the Perfect Wife. Then She Signed the Papers and Took a Taxi.
In the early 1960s, Melbourne, at a society cocktail party. Patricia Booker wore a light-colored dress and stood in the crowd holding a glass of champagne she had barely touched. She had been an air hostess and a model, and she knew how to make herself look effortless in a room full of strangers. Someone introduced her to Rupert Murdoch. He was younger than she had imagined, spoke fast, and did not look people in the eye; he looked at the wall behind them, as if calculating how much that wall was worth.

The Murdoch Wife Who Built the Wall
Sydney autumn wasn’t cold. In the newsroom, the typewriters sounded like rain. Anna Torv set the recorder on the desk and opened her notebook. She was eighteen, covering City Hall and the dockworkers’ union, and that day she had been sent to interview an Australian who had just bought the newspaper. The editor said: ask him what he plans to do with the local news section.

She Married Into the LV Family. The Trust Fund Was Never Hers.
When Natalia Vodianova was eleven and hauling boxes at a fruit stall, she wrote English words on the back of her hand. That came after a scout found her at fifteen. Three months of cramming English: she wrote words on her hand and glanced down when there were no customers. In her first week in Paris, she practiced the same self-introduction forty times outside an audition room. Her pronunciation was still off, but she finished it.
