Por Thozhil

Investigation Crime Thriller, Mystery

Director: Vignesh Raja

Artist: R. Sarathkumar Ashok Selvan Nikhila Vimal Sarath Babu

Playboy-looking, bookish Prakash (Ashok Selvan) gets a new posting and joins under the leadership of tough top crime branch officer Loganathan (Sarathkumar).

In this case, with Trichy as the center, similar series of murders are taking place without any trace and leaving the people in deep fear. The case falls into the hands of the Ashok Selvan-Sarathkumar alliance, under the leadership of Sarathkumar, who punishes everything he touches, and Ashok Selvan comes to do duty.

First of all kudos to Vignesh Raja who chose Sarathkumar-Ashok Selvan pairing for this film! Like writers Sujatha and Rajesh Kumar's 'Ganesh-Vasant' 'Vivek-Vishnu' characters, the famous Sherlock Holmes-John Watson characters, Sarathkumar-Ashok Selvan has turned both of them into a winning pair of Kollywood.

Acting:

Sarathkumar Kanak, who appears as an ajanupagu in the range of 'Ita Terinchikittu Ena Pana Pora..' and obeys all the officers, is perfect! Ashok easily scores in this role with his 'dhan paani' acting, showing hatred towards Selvan, enjoying his wit at one point, refusing to feel sorry for the psycho killer and being emotional.

Ashok Selvan, who brought likes in romantic comedy films, has a slightly different role in this. Ashok Selvan jovially puts us together with the film as he crawls hard at work despite not knowing how to speak, tries to impress Sarathkumar by doing something, uses book knowledge without field knowledge and shows mass.

Actress Nikila Vimal in the role usually given to heroines in Kollywood crime thriller films. He does what the story needs in an unstressed character.

Screen:

The war movie opens with the police busy with a mysterious murder. The way the investigation is conducted is different and interesting. Director Vignesh Raja didn't like the conventional route.

Prakash (Ashok Selvan), a brilliant young man, joins the police force as a trainee in the crime branch. Prakash has to be trained by a senior officer, Loganathan (Sarathkumar), who is the opposite of Prakash. Loganathan reluctantly agrees to investigate the mysterious murder case along with Prakash. During the trial they develop a good relationship. And some shocking things are coming to light regarding the case.

Many young women are strangled to death. But the police are at a loss to find the killer. As the investigation progresses, Loganathan and Prakash discover a commonality in all the murders. A psycho is seen roaming free. The story revolves around finding the psycho with insufficient evidence.

The screenplay is the main reason why the war industry movie is interesting. The plot is not new. But Vignesh Raja has made the familiar subject interesting and brought it to the edge of the seat. Fans are left wondering how two people with different personalities will come together to solve this murder case.

The director has not put many twists in this thriller. He has only one twist in the second half. What happens after the murderer is revealed is also very interesting. We have seen in many psycho thriller films that a psycho had a bad childhood and became like this. That is what the war industry has said. But the way it is said is commendable.

Seeing the late actor Sarathbabu on screen was amazing. The way he designed the character is awesome. The character instills fear in the minds of the audience. It must be said that Sarathkumar and Ashok Selvan have acted well. Nikila Vimal. Lisha's performance should also be appreciated. Jakes Bjoy's background score is the backbone of the film. Kalachelvan's cinematography is another plus point.
