The magic of songs and their lyrics

When life gives you a headache, music is the key to escape. Just plug in your headphones and you are now creating your world. A peaceful silence will surround you with the rhythm of your choice.

Music has an incredible power to move us emotionally and transport us to different places and times. Whether it's the soaring melody of a symphony, the soulful voice of a blues singer, or the infectious beat of a pop song, music can touch us in a way that few other things can. It has been said that music is the universal language of humanity, and it's easy to see why. No matter where you are in the world, you can connect with people through the power of music. Whether you're dancing with friends, singing along to your favorite song, or simply enjoying the beauty of a melody, the magic of music is truly something special.

I started listening to music when I was 5 years old. I love to sing songs that I listen to on the radio or the songs my brother will play to our big speaker at high volume, forcing me to listen to some metal-rock songs with screams and the banging beat of the drums. Back then, its a sore but as time goes by I realized it is something I can enjoy too. The screams, the non-sense lyrics, and the long instrumental become my go-to genre whenever I feel I need some space from the harsh reality, this made me awake my inner soul.

But there are some songs I truly admire not because of who sings them but the beauty of lyrics that touches your heart sincerely. I listen to any kind of genre whether it's rock, pop, K-pop, ballads, or rhythm & blues, I am all for it. Songs with deep meaning are different because sometimes it reflects what you feel. It gives you more reason to be happy, to cry, or to just simply celebrate.

The song "To My Youth" by Korean singer, Bolbbagan4, truly reflects the story of Youth. When the lyrics go "But sometimes, when I'm too happy. I'm afraid I'll be in pain again", I felt the pain of each word written to the rhythm of it. Because these days, when we are having the happiest moment in our life sometimes we wait for the jinx. We tend to think about the consequences of our actions whether it's good or bad. The whole song itself was relatable, it will hunt you through the bones that make your body shiver. The deep meaning of the song will give you a little flashback to the Youth you are once.

Another song I enjoy listening to is "Follow All the Things You Love" by Dylan Ronan. I discover this song while watching a video on YouTube, it was the background song of it. I was so hooked on the rhythm of it and decided to look for the song. As someone who gets attached to songs easily after listening once, this song just hit me so hard that it became my comfort zone. I am still striving for my dreams and there were times I self-doubts my own ability to work on my progress but once I listen to this song I suddenly feel motivated and ready to fight again like nothing happens. That's the magic of it. Making you feel fine when you're actually not.

That is why music is where I run whenever I feel the world is shrinking. Because it is therapeutic and beautiful. The words stamp on the rhythm is magical. It flowered gravelly road that I walk through. Just like the wind striking your face during spring or like eating your comfort food after a long long day, that's the feeling when you listen to Music. Playing your favorite song while cleaning or while working can relieve your stress. There might be no scientific reason for it but you will realize how relaxed you are when you hit the play button. It is like the ticket to your world where it was just you and yourself.

While I am working on this blog, I am on my safe zone playlist where I only play whenever I feel weary and my mind is a mess. I like working while listening to the playlist I made for myself because this helps me write more and organize the thoughts I've been holding back.
