Being honourable does mean something. In fact, at the end of the day, no one wants to get spitted upon or jeered or insulted as a scoundrel, a cheat, or a scum.

Today's world require men to become honourable more than ever. With the advent of the Internet and subsequently the explosions of information available to you from the finger tips, why couldn't any men be honourable?

Why do some men still resorts to the old ways of unscrupulousness, of being a cheat, or a scoundrel? If he can find knowledge and work on them senselessly, why must he play by the crook instead of the hook?

If you desire to be honourable, in this story, I will explore the 6 ways for men to be honourable:

1. Seek knowledge continuously

Knowledge is huge. If you have knowledge, you have less fear. When you fear less, you could do more. When you could do more, nothing much could stop you. Nothing much could stop you from being what? For most people, it's from being wealthier. Some uses knowledge to get fitter, faster, more scholastic, and a whole range of other ambitions. Have you heard of the phrase that knowledge is power? Yes, with knowledge, we will have power. Power over your opponents, your challenges, your obstacles, anything. With knowledge, we rise over adversities. So, ain't it of tantamount importance that honourable men seeks knowledge continuously? If they do so continuously, over time they would have accumulated a lot of knowledge, of which they could eventually find applications of. To be an honourable man, continuously seek knowledge.

2. Be industrious

What good is knowledge if it is not applied knowledge? After you are done gathering knowledge, use them carefully and wisely in their applications. Successful people uses knowledge to build industries all over the world. If you were a great carpenter, slowly you could be building a furniture manufacturing someday. Honourable men seeks to be industrious. They toiled hard in building something of value to create or improve existing industries. In doing so, they find sustenance in forms of monetary rewards and recognitions. Industry never sleeps, they are in continuous movement towards a higher step.

3. Be kind

Even though you might have made it to the top of your industries, make concern to be kind still to others who are still not there yet. As we are all the same people, the human people, it is of crucial importance that we support those that are still blossoming, not leaving them behind as we go further down the road. Honourable men knows that they do not reach where they are to show off, flaunt, or make others feel smaller than they are. They know that as a human being, there are other human beings too, and they too are a part of the experience of being humans on this planet. So be kind, and do not hate other people as you go up the ladder.

4. Help anyone in need

No honourable men will trample upon others when they have reach a greater height, as they know that we are all brothers and sisters, together as a species. So, dispense your knowledge, humbly guide others, and give chance for others to succeed too. Honourable men know that their value is only upheld when they are of service to everyone, not just for himself. So, help and provide assistance to those in need, because in time, when you needed help too, they may also be there for you.

5. Work tirelessly

Honourable men seek not to linger and waste time doing nothing of good value. If you are young and healthy, work tirelessly, to create something of value for the world. Do not seek too much entertainment, food, or sex as these indulgences are wasteful of your potential. Honourable men will never let their potentials be wasted away. Rest if you must, but once you are well rested, get back on feet, to continue your journey, into building the world you see surrounding you, as real men.

6. Provide value

Think about yourself from inside out. What is the most valuable thing you could provide to the world? Is it your intelligence, your wits, your experience, or even you willingness to work the extra mile? Any of these would be your value points. Seek high and low, far and wide, if you still haven't found any. Despair not, because someday you will find what you are valuable for. Honourable men always seeks to provide value. Find yours.
