Have You Created Space For What You Seek?

We live in a world where "Busyness" is prized.

How much are you doing?

Are you doing "more" than the person next to you?

How many things can you juggle at the same time?

I find that there becomes a problem with this though.

When you are "busy" doing so many different things... are you really Committed to anything?

I see this a lot in the Spiritual world where people are "seeking" meaning, or a Path.

However, this isn't limited to that world - I see it often in the world of Business Leaders, the Entrepreneurial world, and the Romantic world as well.

Whether you are seeking Guidance, Profit, Meaning, Love, or any number of other things, it seems most people are not finding "anything" they want.

Why is it that so many people are so "Busy" yet finding Nothing?

To find something, you must create Space for it, but when we are so incredibly "Busy" we do not have any Space for anything.

We don't dedicate enough Time to find Meaning, to find Love, to create Meaning, to build a Business, to design a Team.

There isn't enough Time within the Busyness.

When we do too many things, everything is Shallow, and in that Shallowness lies a lack of feeling.

People are not designed to live Shallow lives.

But how do we break free of that Shallow Busyness?

The key is Intentionality.

We must become Intentional with how we use our time, where we use our time, and perhaps more importantly by deciding where "not" to use our time.

There are so many things you "can" do, but most of that will not bring you closer to what you want or hope for in life, what you Seek.

So don't "try" to do it all.

It won't work for you because it doesn't work for anyone!

Find what "will" work for you.

Get invested in that, go to the deep end with it, do it consistently, and push further.

Now, if you do this, there will be something that will eventually happen.

Others will try to call you out of the depths.

For the Entrepreneur, it usually is all the different ways you can market your products or services.

For the Business Leader, it is more and more projects that add up quickly.

For those seeking Romance, it will be "other options".

When it comes to matters around Spirituality, it will be all of the "Causes" that exist.

One way or another, there is a tendency for the world to try to spread us thinner and thinner - but it is a Siren's Call that will lead you to your doom.

To overcome the Siren's Call, we must also be Intentional, and we can look at the Greek Hero Odysseus to understand this.

In the Odyssey, the Hero Odysseus travels through waters where he knows Sirens sing to sailors to lead them to their deaths.

So Odysseus does two things.

He has his men put wax in their ears so that they cannot hear the Siren's Calls.

He also has himself tied to the mast of his ship so that he cannot change the course of the ship.

What is he doing?

Intentionally creating safeguards to avoid the Siren's Calls.

When you look at what your "Siren's Calls" may be in your life, you must think about creating a Space where those "Calls" cannot be heard.

How can you make it so that you never hear those Calls?

If you understand that all of those other things will just make you Busy, and lead to a Shallow life, you must do EVERYTHING in your Power to prevent them from stealing away what you Seek in Life.

To be safe, it is good to assess and reassess over time.

The Siren's Call can be subtle, and if we are not paying attention it can overtake us without Realizing.

This simply makes it that much more Important that you stay Intentional with your Life, so that you may obtain what you Seek.
