Following Trends Can Be Very Beneficial

Nobody wants to be considered a sheep today. With billions of people it's harder and harder to be original and come up with new things to get ahead of the pack. We all want to get ahead, but somehow we feel like we're just following people. It's the game of life. We can't just be complacent and let life fly by.

I know this is a weird strategy, but I think it's a good idea to follow the trends. That's a little misleading. What you should do is acknowledge the trends. Knowing what's popular can help you out considerably, and you might be doing it already. We all know what's popular nowadays. It's always blatantly in our face. Today it's even easier to figure these things out with images and videos bombarding us all over the place. Maybe this isn't a bad thing, and I'll tell you how to take advantage of the situation.

Keep all of this information in the back of your mind to take advantage of situations. There's a saying that all information is good information, because there's always a way to take advantage of it. Why do you think big corporations want all the data on your phones. It's all about finding patterns, and knowing what to do with those patterns.

Funny enough there are already IQ tests that test out your ability to figure out patterns, and being able to predict what's going to come up next. Those that do really well on these tests are considered to be high in IQ. That's pretty much figuring out trends. That's all great, but there's another element that you need.

To take advantage of the trends, you have to figure out what the trends mean, and what you can do with them. Knowing trends is great, but if you can't take advantage of the trends then they're pretty much useless. You can dive deep into the meaning of the trends—as deep as you want. The difficulty level is really up to you.

An example of taking advantage of simple trends is knowing that everyone in the city generally goes to work at eight AM, so you wake up at seven AM to avoid traffic. Or you know that the general population is at work at a certain time, so you take the time off to do your shopping at that time. This way you avoid the crowds, and minimize the time it takes you to shop.

This can get extremely complicated. You can figure out the trends in businesses, and probably make millions off the stock market. You might notice public interest in certain areas of the market and build or invest in that market. Who knew media streaming would be so huge today? You'd be able to predict the rise and fall of Netflix or Spotify.

Trends are all around us in music, clothing, movies you name it. If you can figure out what's coming in and out, you'd probably be the most fashionable person in your area. Always ahead of the game, making you an instant influencer.

it really comes down to your priorities. If something interests you, take the time to see what trends are happening. You might be able to take advantage of the trend to improve yourself, or even be the envy of others.

It will allow you to read people. You'll know how people in your area react to certain situations, and you could exploit those reactions for business or other personal gain. I've come to think that pro gamers, athletes, and gamblers already do this. They notice that their opponents come up with the same reactions to certain situations and exploit them.

This can save yourself too. We have to notice our own trends, and switch them up so people can't exploit our faults. For example if a burglar knew that you're always away from the house at such and such time in the day, and all your neighbors are gone they could perhaps find the perfect opportunity to rob you.

People are creatures of habit, and it's fairly interesting to see how we all fall into the same trends over and over. We have an advantage now that we know this game we call life, is on a continuous loop. Follow the trends and this computer game is easy as pie.
