Will You Do Them?

Getting to Peak Performance is not difficult to do, it is quite Simple.

Now, before I dive into this I want to let you know that there's a difference between "Simple" and "Easy".

There is a high likelihood you'll read these 3 Steps and think, "Oh yeah, that's Simple!"

But will you DO them?

Yet, if it were easy, fewer people would be experiencing Burnout.

Since we know that about 80% of People are in Burnout, and still more are in Dis-Stress, we can see that few people are doing these things.

However, if you TRULY want to Achieve Peak Performance regularly, then these will be Essential!

Step 1

The first thing is that you need to get rid of Distractions.

To get Peak Performance, you need to get to Flow States.

Flow States require you to Focus on something long enough to find the "Flow Zone", which when you find Flow should come to you without Challenge.

However, to maximize Flow, you need to go uninterrupted for 50 - 90 minutes.

But how often do people do ANYTHING for 50 - 90 minutes uninterrupted?

Phone Notifications, Text Messages, and Calls?

People asking for a Minute/Needing your Help?

Open Office?

Trying to Multi-Task without Focusing on any Tasks?

Email?

The Reality is that few people go longer than 15 minutes without a Distraction, and that is a High Estimate.

Some Teens are wracking up over 200 Notifications per day on their phones, which means they get one nearly every 5 minutes.

That isn't including anything "outside" the phone.

If you want to get to Peak Performance though, you need to Eliminate all of the Distractions you regularly have.

Step 2

The second thing we need to get rid of is Stress!

All Stress Adds.

Now, not all Stressors are "inherently" bad, but when we have too much Stress, then all Stressors "become" bad.

We only need to look at Burnout, which is another word for Extreme Dis-Stress, to know that our Stress Levels are too high.

How can you lower your Stressors?

Most people try to "add" Stressors, like a Brand New Habit, on top of the Stresses they already have, which ends up being counter-productive.

With this, you simply "can't" hit Peak Performance when you have too much Stress.

Flow occurs in the "Eu-Stress" Zone, where we have "a little" Stressor, but not too much.

It is estimated that Flow happens when you hit "about" 4% more of a Challenge than your current Skill Level.

The problem is that most people are WAY over 4% that they are starting at!

If you are at 15% more Stress than your current Skill can handle, then you ADD more to that, it just doesn't work!

To get to the Flow Zone, you must first REDUCE the Stressors to be under that 4%, and then you could Add the Stressor from wherever you are looking to Perform.

Step 3

This leads us to our last Step, to get rid of Stress Damage.

Now, this is probably the TRICKIEST of this group!

When we Experience Stress, it leaves behind Damage.

It's technically called "Oxidative Stress", but you can think of it as Stress Damage.

Now, Stress Damage becomes a Double-Whammy because not only is it something that we need to recover from, BUT as this Damage builds up it ALSO causes more Stress!

All Stress Adds.

Now, doing things like Fitness, Breathing, HRV Work, or Meditation (all things people do for Wellness Practices) are all great to help Reduce overall Stress BUT they don't do anything to Fix Stress Damage.

For most people, they might "reduce" their Stressors which is a great Start, but behind the scenes, they are failing to Fix the Damage that is left behind.

This Stress Damage builds up, which decreases our Resilience, making us less able to handle New Stressors, which when those inevitably come puts us immediately into Dis-Stress leaving behind MORE Stress Damage.

The best way to fix Stress Damage is a combination of creating more Energy (Mg-ATP), more Ceruloplasmin (Cp), and Better Sleep.

Most people struggle to accomplish this though.

However, this is all necessary to get to Peak Performance.

Sleep is where we heal most of our damage, but most people are not giving their bodies enough time to do that work.

Without enough Cp, your body can't clean out "enough" Oxidative Stress, and with other "Antioxidants" that exist (assuming they aren't "marketed" as that based on Bad Scientific Research which is common) are nowhere NEAR as effective as Cp.

Then, Flow States themselves are High Energy States, requiring high levels of Mg-ATP, but most people are severely low on Magnesium (the Mg in Mg-ATP) and are taking a lot of things that waste Magnesium quickly.

Without fixing the Stress Damage, there are just too many things that will block you from getting to Peak Performance.

Final Words

So there are your Simple Steps!

Get rid of Distractions.

Get rid of Stress.

Get rid of Stress Damage.

Extremely Simple - Not necessarily "Easy" though.

However, these are all Necessary to get to Peak Performance.

So, you have a choice.

You "Know" the Simple Steps.

What will you "Do" with them?

I suspect the sleep thing is huge, and so many people sacrifice sleep because they don't have much time to themselves 🧐

Indeed, easy steps in theory, very hard in application.
