Well...I'm Dumbfounded!
Putting The Sugar In The Freezer, Amongst Other Things...
I'm guessing that many of you can admit to putting things in really daft places without thinking, especially when you are trying to concentrate, and somebody or something has distracted you.
I call it being dumbfounded!
I'm not too shy to say what I did either, so here is a list of 'dumbfounds' I have done this week:
I put the sugar in the freezer!
I almost put a tin of tomatos in the washing machine.
I tried to make a cup of tea without the teabag.
I nearly poured my husband's coffee into the kettle.
I almost poured bleach on my cereal instead of milk.
I was supposed to wash up, and I put a cup in the bin instead.
I went to get the Vac out and got the toilet cleaner out instead.
I poured washing up liquid into my coffee cup instead of the sink
and;
I tried pouring juice from a newspaper, because my son called me while I was thinking about it!
I tried cooking a frozen burger without switching the cooker on.
I got halfway to the shop, then ended up walking all the way back home because I forgot my wallet.
I put my shoes on the wrong feet in the morning, but I only noticed in the afternoon.
I banged me head on a door because I forgot to open it.
I told my husband that I was going for a shower, and I ran a bath instead.
I accidently threw a whole pack of new Fishfingers in the bin.
I forgot where I put my phone, only to find that I was sitting on it.
I put my trousers on inside out.
I tried dying my hair red, only to find I had accidently picked up a green hair colourant unstead.
I lost my keys after locking myself out of the house.
I spent three hours trying to find my laptop which turned up under my bed. I then realized it had been there all day!
I tried taking Icecream out of the freezer, and realized I had taken the chicken out rather than the icecream.
I tried turning the television on with the HiFi remote control.
I picked up a pair of children's leggings instesd of an adult pair.
I almost popped my hybrid mattress while trying to unroll it!
Now, before you hold me for contempt in court, I have an allaby.
This is another week of packing, before we finally move into the house we were supposed to have moved into in August, but couldn't because of the fires during the heatwave.
And;
We all do dumbfounds when we are stressed, even when it's just silly stress!
Oh, and I have yet another confession:
I tried answering the phone, and picked up a daft sock instead.
Maybe I was just trying to sock the day in the head!
I want all of you to drop your pride.
Tell me how many 'dumbfounded' moments you have had in a day, or a week. You could list them on a piece of paper as they happen, or punch them into your phone so that you don't forget them, but;
There is two rules:
Be honest and don't be shy.
I want to see those most cringeworthy moments; the ones you swore you'd never tell anyone, from eating mouldy cheese, getting Sypillis by accident, shrinking your underwear or even trying to brush your hair with a mop!
What is the dumbest thing you have done in a day, or even a week?
Share them, and I promise never to tell your boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands, wife, kids or friends....Ever.
Oh,
I'm Dumbfounded!
