UNCLE SAM'S INDESPENSIBLE APOLOGY:

A Formal Resignation from the Moral High Ground

Uncle Sam's apology to the Global Community

My Global Neighbors,

Look, I’ll just say it: I’m sorry about the lawn.

I know, I know. I told the neighbors I’d keep the hedges trimmed and the property values up, and now there’s a burnt-out Buick in the driveway and the sprinklers are spraying kerosene. My bad.

I probably should have mentioned this back in ’53. I had this buddy, Mossadegh, over in Iran. Great guy, loved a good turtleneck. But he wanted to keep his own garden tools in his own shed, and my friends at BP--well, they get cranky without their British tea and Persian crude. So, I sent a few of the boys from the Agency over to hop the fence and, you know, "rearrange" his living room until he left. I thought it would make the neighborhood safer.

I didn't realize that forty years later, the whole block would be screaming "Death to the Landlord" and building a centrifuge in the basement.

And while we’re on the subject of landscaping, Vietnam. Total misunderstanding. I went in there to pull a few weeds--the red kind, very invasive--and before I knew it, I’d accidentally dropped 7 million tons of Agent Orange and napalm on the patio. It was a bit of an over-correction. I was trying to save the village by, well, you’ve heard the line. It turns out you can’t actually "gift" democracy at the end of a bayonet without someone getting a splinter.

But hey, I tried to make it up to you! I built that lovely Bretton Woods community center. I even invented the Petrodollar--a stroke of genius, really. I told everyone they could only buy gas with my personalized "Sam-Bucks." It was great! It meant I could print infinite money to pay for my hobby: collecting overseas military bases. I have about 800 now. It’s like Pokemon, but with Reaper drones.

I realize now that the "Military-Industrial Complex" sounds a bit heavy. Ike warned me it was getting a little cluttered in the garage, but have you seen the price of a Lockheed Martin F-35? It’s a classic! Sure, I had to keep the Middle East in a state of perpetual, grinding "regime change" just to make sure the engine stayed lubricated, but I thought we all agreed that "Stability" was just a code word for "My Way or the Highway."

I see now that the "rules-based international order" was mostly just me making the rules and then ordering everyone around. My mistake.

And look, I feel especially bad about the current... tenant. The guy in the big white house with the gold-plated ego. I know the MAGA crowd is currently out front ripping up the "Global Prosperity" sign and replacing it with a "Keep Out: We’re All Out of Common Sense" banner. I see them throwing bricks through the windows of the store front's of the alliances I spent seventy years building. It turns out that when you spend decades telling the world you’re the indispensable hero while secretly picking their pockets and toppling their governments, people eventually stop believing the script.

I’ve created a bit of a monster, haven't I? A bloated, hypocritical, nuclear-armed Frankenstein who’s currently trying to eat his own creator, because he thinks it’s an immigrant stealing his job.

And then there's the current mess with Iran. Honestly, I thought we were past the "Operation Epic Fury" phase. I figured a few precision strikes and a little "maximum pressure" would finally get them to see things my way. Instead, I’ve managed to turn the Strait of Hormuz into a parking lot for sinking tankers, oil prices are north of $100 a barrel, and the whole global economy is doing a nervous twitch. I even managed to start a naval blockade today. It turns out that when you keep poking a hornet's nest with a billion-dollar stick, the hornets don't just move out--they invite their friends over for a 2026-style world-war-sized block party. My bad.

So, truly, I'm sorry. I set out to save the world for democracy, and I ended up turning the planet into a high-stakes casino where the house is currently on fire and the dealer is shouting about "Fake News" while he pockets the chips.

Anyway, do you have twenty bucks? I’ve got a carrier strike group that needs gas and I’m a little short this month.

My Sincerest Regrets and Apologies,

Uncle Sam

P.S. The Deep State's coming for me, and they're trying to drown me out back in the Swamp. Pass this on, before it's too late. Godspeed.
