An Investigation Into the Private Behavior of Otherwise Respectable Adults
Human beings are dignified creatures. We wear clothing. We use silverware. We attend meetings. We shake hands. We say things like, “Wonderful seeing you again,” even when we have absolutely no recollection of who we're talking to. Civilization depends upon maintaining this image. But civilization has one enormous weakness: sometimes we're alone... And the moment a human being becomes reasonably certain nobody is watching, approximately 40,000 years of social development disappears.

How to Watch Jordan Peele Films with White People. Top Story - August 2026.
It may seem silly to have to remind people that audiences are not the same everywhere you go. There were many white people who found it odd that ''Get Out'' was such a massive hit with the black community. And yet, it was (I saw it twice in one week), as were ''Us'' and ''Nope''. So this is just a handy guide for those of you who want to make your white friends comfortable while watching the films of this very interesting man’s oeuvre (a pretentious term that your white friends will love).

Gimme Some Sugar
I treat female-only gatherings with the same enthusiasm as a funeral. Especially when the females are highly dolled up with dresses and are usually doing something with arts and crafts. I’m not girly, I’m not artsy, and when you put me in a room with women who ARE, I stick out like a sore thumb.

A Reasonable Person Would Have Stayed Home Or Walked. Runner-Up in Too Hot for This Challenge.
It should be simple, right? We had one objective— two slushies after the AC unit crapped out again, for the last time. One semi— working AC unit in the busted car and absolutely no patience left between us. What is the worst thing that could happen?

Deon's Inferno. Runner-Up in Too Hot for This Challenge. Top Story - August 2026.
“Dad? Why is it so hot today?” “Because the sun is the Antichrist and our air conditioner is a piece of crap!” “You say it's because of auntie Kris? I believe it. She has a bad temper. I'm scared of her.”

AC? DC!
I survive this heat. Neighbor's bikini slips down... Where's the damn AC? Ladies and gentlemen... It might seem strange to begin with a haiku in our tribute to the late great Arthur ''Red'' Calentado, but I felt that his sense of humor, difficulties in his final days, and general talent with the written line would come through best with a sample of the very last thing the man ever wrote (one scrap of paper they let us see).
