Haritaki

In a family from generation to generation, great-grandfather, grandfather, father and daughter all used to survive by doing medicine. Finally a grandson went around the town without noticing it. Then one day he came back and thought that we can also cure and survive, so he searched for old medicines. He found only one bundle of haritaki seeds and came to the conclusion that he would have to survive on this. But he himself did not know what haritaki would do.

Once upon a time, a man who have 2 wifes but he was supported and loved youngerone.so the elder one came to him. And told her story to him. He said, 'Take this eight haritaki seeds and grind them well and give them to your household.

She asked what to do,
He said give it to your husband to grind it and give it to him to drink.

She did just that. Her husband's only grief was not stopping. The younger one saw and could not bear the stench. She left saying that she could not bear this. The elder helped him and saved him. So he felt compassion and affection for the elder and lived with her. This news spread in the town.

Another time, a buffalo went missing in a neighboring town.

Karanuma, who owns the cow, appealed to the doctor. He also gave him 8 haritaki seeds and asked him to grind them and drink them. When he did the same, the diarrhea increased. Unable to bear it, he sat on the bank of the lake. Then his missing buffalo came there to drink water. When he saw it, he happily caught it and brought it home. This news also spread in the town and made the doctor proud.

Another time the king of the neighboring town invaded with an army.

Everyone was afraid of what to do. The haritaki doctor ground ten haritaki seeds and gave them to the soldiers. That's it, everyone had diarrhea. The king looked, fearing that 'collars are spreading in this town', he gave up the idea of fighting and went back with his army from that town,

In this way the name and fame spread and praises poured in for the haritaki doctor. The king of Avvur also called the doctor and honored him.

Hearing this, another doctor came to him and asked, "How did you get medical knowledge? Got name and fame in such a short period of time?" he asked.
The haritaki doctor said

Eight haritaki seeds for two wife.

"Eight haritaki for a bad buffalo'

'Ten haritaki seeds for the invading king'

This is how my fame spread. Some actions done without knowing end in good.

From this story, we can understand several key lessons:

2. **Compassion and Helpfulness:** Acts of compassion and assistance, as demonstrated by the elder wife and the haritaki doctor, can lead to positive outcomes and strengthen relationships.

3. **Unintended Consequences:** Actions taken without full knowledge can sometimes result in unforeseen and positive consequences. The haritaki doctor's use of the seeds in various situations illustrates this concept.

4. **Resourcefulness:** Making the most of available resources, even if they seem limited, is a valuable skill. The grandson's use of haritaki seeds and the doctor's inventive solutions exemplify resourcefulness.

5. **Problem Solving:** Creative problem-solving is essential in overcoming challenges. The haritaki doctor's ability to use the seeds to address different issues demonstrates effective problem-solving skills.

6. **Recognition and Appreciation:** Positive contributions to the community should be recognized and appreciated. The king's acknowledgment of the haritaki doctor's efforts underscores the importance of recognizing and honoring those who make positive impacts.

7. **Humility:** Success and fame can arise from humble actions. The haritaki doctor's modest explanation to the other doctor emphasizes the idea that simple, well-intentioned actions can lead to recognition.
