Why Loyalty Doesn't Exist Anymore In Relationships?

This is what I think.

Why Loyalty Doesn't Exist Anymore In Relationships?

One who tends to be loyal to his/her life partner is more attractive than the ones who spend time with each other just for the sake of wealth, fake popularity, and many more reasons.

A relationship between a couple is the most beautiful gift God has ever gifted to mankind. As it involves the most superior feelings like love and trust. Both of these develop gradually as a couple spends time with each other. But loyalty is a choice for both ends in a bond. It isn’t something that will develop by itself. It’s a choice. A decision one makes and is responsible for sticking by it at any cost. Because if loyalty in a bond is compromised by any of them, love and trust won’t matter. Relationship between couples will simply shatter into tiny pieces.

According to me, loyalty refers to those promises which both man and a woman, made to each other before getting into a relationship. The promises they should abide by. Nothing should be more superior than those promises. And yes they do require compromises and sacrifices to maintain a healthy bond with their loved ones. But it shouldn’t be taken as a liability or being bound because if a person does feel like that in a relationship then it is obvious that he/she is done and wants to end that all.

So why do relationships these days end within a few weeks or even worse, within days? Why the ratio of breaking up and divorces is increasing in this current era? Why is cheating in a relationship is getting common? Well, there’s a small answer to clarify all these questions is that loyalty does not exist anymore in this 21st century. Now some of you will surely try to correct me over here by saying that “man, there still are some loyal people who stand by their choices”. See, the phrase “some people” tells everything. Why not everyone?

Every single day, we interact with at least one broken person who got dumped and cheated by the other. And that specific broken soul goes through the worst phase which a normal person won’t be able to understand. Because he/she invested their time and efforts in that relationship and when they get dumped or cheated by their loved ones, they get broken so badly that there are rare chances of getting fixed again. They stop believing in love and bonds. They stop trusting people. They prefer loneliness over the presence of anyone else in their lives.

Now cheating is a choice again which is prioritized over loyalty. And believe me, you’ll get several reasons to cheat your life partner. You’ll find so many attractive people who will surely test your loyalty to your loved one. But loyalty and love collectively is the only reason you would have to stand by your better half.

Everything is based on faking happiness and love on social media now. Believe it or not, social media has completed changed the whole concept of a relationship between couples. No one is here to spend their entire lives for a specific person. They just stay together for a limited time until they find a better choice. And this whole mess has eliminated the element of loyalty from relationships.

However, other than cheating and faking over social media, there are many more reasons which influence the loyalty of a person. But these are the main ones that have eliminated loyalty from existence. And yes I do agree that there still are some loyal gems in this world, but I’ll ask again. Why not everyone? Wouldn’t it be a better world if everyone chooses to stay loyal to their loved ones? Won’t it bring a positive change?
