What really caused the male loneliness epidemic
from a woman
I want to start this post by acknowledging things that we all know to be true. Women do have a part to play in this but not in the way the toxic people want us to think. There are women who may actually have standards that are too high. There are also women who are crazy and/or terrible. Then there are women who just aren't dating whether they're taking a break to heal or to focus on themselves (or careers).
There are good men out there. Some are just not dating. Others may just be dating the wrong women. I've seen great men, so I know they exist.
The major thing that is causing the epidemic is the way men look at or talk about women. This can come from how they're raised, their preachers, their friends or the trust me bro podcast. Some men are stuck in the 1950s. Some men want sex but also want women to not have a body count.
Let me explain the trust me bro podcast. They're the guys who belittle women or have no business giving relationship advice. Think Andrew Tate and the whatever podcast. These podcasts can be dangerous because it could lead to abuse and other problematic behavior.
Also while we're at it and talking about the morality and body count of women we have to talk sex work. Why are we talking about the morality of only fans girls or porn stars when we don't talk about the morality of the men that basically pay the girls bills? We also don't talk about the men in that industry like we do the women, I don't get it.
I think that the men who are out there today either want just sex, the trad wife or the pretty girl who is dumb and grateful. Don't get me wrong there are women who fit into the only sex or trad wife box. The trad wife girls may have been forced to become independent while waiting for her guy.
The other thing is men don't know how to accept no. They insult all girls who reject them. Men may also resort to stalking, or other things. Men have done horrific things to women and yet we're supposed to just keep dating them? I understand not all men but it's always men.
We have suffered at the hands of boys will be boys and not all men for too long something needs to change. We need to stop excusing all of this bad behavior. We need to call out the bad behavior and maybe punish the bad behavior.
Also some men are so homophobic it ruins their chances to be with women. Men brag about not being soft or gay and then when we call them out on what a weird flex that is or we defend the gay or "soft" men the man we're talking to goes into crash out mode. Also, they accuse women who look a certain way of being a trans woman. They're so afraid of being gay that they just crash out over the weirdest things. I think that the men with the loudest homophobia are the ones that are actually secretly gay. Self-hatred is a real thing in the LGBT community.
Women have also suffered at the hands of men. Men have raped, stalked, kidnapped, abused, disrespected and killed women. Not all men but almost always men. So women are very cautious or scared to date.
I think certain types of women have caused this "epidemic" as well. Some women just put up with the bad behavior for whatever reason. Sometimes it's being naive, desperation or just don't want to be alone. Then the older generation (men and women) have spread a certain level of awful to men. The older generation tell men a woman should dress, act and speak a certain way or else. They believe and say "women deserve rape when they dress like that". So men believe that as well.
So what could help? Men need to change. Go to therapy and stop listening to the trust me bro podcasts. Once you do that if you have just one type maybe try something different if your type hasn't worked for you.
There are men who aren't going to change, and they will continue to be lonely. These are probably the men that are complaining the most about being lonely.
