What do the People of Japan teach us?

It is the people who decide to make or break a place.

Japan is an island country located in South Asia, it needs no introduction as the country is one of the oldest civilizations.

Currently, Japan is in the news because of its nuclear plant Fukushima, which is getting furious reactions from the world over-discharging water from a nuclear plant in the Pacific ocean.

Relax, I am not taking you into details of this ongoing issue but, I am sharing some of the learnings we should take from Japanese people.

Below are some points we should take inspiration from Japan.

Ambition

No matter what size the country is, they are always very ambitious towards growth and expansion, and they have a “Never give up” attitude.

Japan has always fought bravely in wars, despite not such a big nation in terms of its size, and was able to create fear in the most developed nations.

Its Colonial Ambition was visible in world war 2 when all its allies surrendered, but they kept on fighting unless the US had to use an Atom bomb to stop things.

Discipline

When World War 2 was over with the explosion of atom bombs on two major Japanese cities, they completely shattered and offered an unconditional surrender to the United States.

In return, the USA told them to withdraw their armed forces, as the US would take care of Japan’s protection, and Japan’s Army was told to focus on industrial development.

The people who were in senior ranks became Entrepreneurs, and the discipline of the army was still with them, resulting in the work getting on time as well as in an organized manner.

We have seen in a lot of posts on social media about the etiquettes of people of Japan, be it using a parking lot, or staircase they are the ones who will follow the rules and regulations with patience.

For Example — Companies like Nissan, Isuzu, who used to make vehicles for the army, became market leaders worldwide soon after coming into the commercial vehicle segment.

Ability to Bounce back

In continuation of the above, had it been any other country of the World, it would have taken more time, but Japan knew they have to be back in no time, and not only they jumped back to normalcy but also soon became one of the most developed nations.

Japan is prone to the deadliest earthquakes, the strongest Tsunami’s and the erupting volcanoes, yet they have always managed to repair as well as rebound themselves into better than before.

Education System

This part has impressed me the most as, Education to a kid is like sunlight to a plant, an essential tool for growth.

What I have seen in most countries is it is limited only to the academic level, and it results in people having a bright academic career but with limited moral or social values.

This doesn’t happen in Japan, as a kid in his primary sections is taught about moral values. They will be cleaning floors, serving food to each other, creating an empathic environment.

This was also visible in a football match when they impressed the world by picking up their garbage on their own.

We all should learn this from Japan. I have mentioned in my earlier post also about online Education as a point of concern that people will lose more than gain by learning from a 15inch laptop.

Perfection

Japanese are known to be born perfectionists as they go to the root of a problem, and unless it gets resolved, they keep on working on it. The idea is to make sure they don’t have to work again on the same problems.

Patriotism

To get all the above in place, one needs to have patriotism towards his country. Whenever there was any tragedy, the people of Japan came together and fought against it.

Instead of fighting among each other on caste, religion, borders, we should fight against the problems this World is carrying and make it a better place for our future generations to live.

All Countries are spending their large amount of money on defense, had the World would be a better place, the same amounts could have used to eradicate poverty, hunger, unemployment.

Health

Japan has a large number of Old People in the World, and the reason is a healthy lifestyle and healthy meals.

If I eat Sushi everyday what will be my life expectancy.

Conclusion

With every Pro, there is a Con. The same is with Japan as well they have done some of the great developments, but they are one of the countries with maximum stress, as people are always under the burden, let us hope they take some measures to reduce stress among their people.

These were some of the points why Japan is a great country,

I am coming up with more real-life lessons about Countries, Companies, and many more.

Thank you!
