Virgil the Seemingly Hopeless Monkey

Virgil was a seemingly hopeless monkey. Even though that he was, it seemed he just wouldn't die, So eventually he had to learn to live a better life than he had been so far. Lest the rest of his days continue on this sure and steady decline in a hellish existence.So one morning when Virgil got up out of bed, he had decided he was going to use what he had to try to find a way. After all this time he of course was lost and alone by now, as his life was one big experiment made up of many smaller scale experiments all in hopes of finding his niche in life on planet earth. He rented a very small efficiency and the price was through the roof. He also had decided to get a few loans and overextended himself far surpassing his means. This was crunch time for Virgil and he knew very well within his heart that if he didn't do something, find some way to earn a living, he was going to be out on the streets homeless and out of luck, if there were such a thing. So he had decided that today would be special and he wouldn't just pop some more medication and sleep the hours away waking up with the weekend gone and nothing accomplished. He took what he was supposed to as prescribed got himself cleaned up and sat down to explore. He did not expect to strike gold but he did expect to know that at least he had tried. And if it didn't work this time he was going to try again and try again and try again. He did not believe that he could be high and dry without hope, without a reason to live, without a way to get money.

Virgil sat down to look through the want ads in the local newspaper. He first circled everything that he was interested in even if he wasn't altogether enthusiastic about it. He then made an effort to contact the different companies that were looking for help, to see if it would be worth the travel to get to them before he went out the door. This allowed him to gather up information to make his actions throughout the day more precise, effective, and efficient. Virgil had many jobs before in the past, he just never found any of them bearable even enough to keep him employed there for at least a year. So honestly he wasn't very hopeful about his search because once again he was just doing what everybody else in the land was doing. There was nothing special about it, it was just being more like another Cog in the wheel, rather than finding out more about himself, his talents, and how to employ them. This same dilemma had been in Virgil's face foremost all of his life as it was not getting a job that was the problem it was keeping it. He had quite a few dispositions, and his, well, more than fair share of vices. His upbringing was shaky, very unstable with a lot of things that one would expect would not go on in a child's home with his own family. None the less it still happens every day in many many homes across the globe. And it doesn't seem to matter what kind of a parent someone will be, they will be able to produce children regardless most of the time. .................
