When I first showed interest in religion my family was no longer practicing Mormons. I was encouraged and told that before I could claim to be anything or follow something I needed to educate myself on it, read on it, listen to people within the faith, and more.

I went to multiple different churches, youth groups, went to local religion seminars, and more.

Through that journey I also found Astrology. Now of course astrology isn't a religion, but as someone who has always loved the night, space, and the moon since I was a little girl. I felt a connection with it and a need to learn more about it. So I have.

I was born on March 6th at 5:04 p.m.

Which makes my star sign align with

February 19 – March 20

In other words …

A Pisces Star Sign

The Pisces Zodiac is defined as Two fishes tied to one another, swimming in opposite directions- because all Pisceans swim amidst shifting emotional currents, and are plagued by both conflicting desires and extremes of temperament.

The Pisces Element is Water.

Pisceans FEEL everything more deeply, their skin seems thinner than everyone else’s, and they find the cruel world a tough place to be in at times, such is their compassion and idealism.

Pisceans are the final sign of the zodiac, and therefore possess a little of each of the preceding eleven’s traits. They ~get~ people, they know what makes other ticks. They are wise and understanding, sometimes they just know too much.

Two fishes tied to one another, swimming in opposite directions- because all Pisceans swim amidst shifting emotional currents, and are plagued by both conflicting desires and extremes of temperament.

I do relate to this. I often feel like I have two desires or goals at one time and going after one means walking away from the other for a while and I don't want to walk away I want to complete them both. I can feel like this with other things like too. Like a part of me loves something but the other part of me doesn't. Also if someone makes me mad I sometimes feel bad for being mad even though I know deep down that's just because I'm an empath. I use to let people walk on me when it came to doing things I didn't find ok and now I don't allow that from anyone.

Romantic, soulful, intuitive, imaginative, the empath of the zodiacs

Their skin seems thinner than everyone else’s, and they find the cruel world a tough place to be in at times, such is their compassion and idealism.

This ,I actually have that two fishes feeling about.

I use to have "Thin" skin and I've heard fellow Pisces say they feel this way . However I personally had to do something about it a couple years ago. I had to make the decision to either let other's opinions rule my life or just live my life and be happy . I chose the second one. In the same though I do sometimes feel the world is cruel and hard to live in. We are still plagued with healthcare issues, our planet is dying and most people don't seem to care, animal species are suffering and we do little to fix . When people do try to fix it they are met with anger and hostility. We still have active racism , and so many other issues we need to resolve. It feels sometimes as if we will never resolve them, however I hold hope that we can and will. In time. If people continue standing up and speaking out. Someday we can and will see change.

I do though still feel very much in touch with my empathetic side so much and so often. When friends, family or even stranger's are struggling I feel their struggle in a way that I find it hard to describe sometimes. I also attribute the fact that because I'm a Pisces I experience Frisson while listening to stories told by people, TedTalks or while listening to music.

Frisson is also known as aesthetic chills or musical chills, is a psychophysiological response to rewarding auditory and/or visual stimuli. Not everyone experience's it but most frequently you experience goosebumps while listening to whatever triggers it. For me a lot of times it's music. However inspirational stories and more have given me that experience.

Not Everyone feels connected to their sun sign though.

This is why it's important to look at all parts of your chart. When someone asks, "What's your sign?" they're asking about the position of the sun in the sky at your time of birth.

The moon stays close to Earth, hugging the planet with its consistent, steady ascension. Occasionally, even in the daylight, we can see the outline of the moon, a reminder of its dependability. The moon has a long-established association with feminine energy, specifically the role of the mother. We also see this representation in Selene The Moon Goddess.

Your moon sign, reveals how you "mother" yourself, representing your comfort zone and sense of security. Unlike the sun, which relies on logic, the moon is raw feeling, and the moon sign is one of the most private and protected areas of the chart: Though it's not always visible, it guides us through nocturnal illumination.

While the sun signs acts, the moon sign reacts, but the moon's responses have a tremendous impact. Consider the way in which the incredible gravitational force between the earth and moon influences the ocean's tides: When the moon is closer to earth, the tide is higher.

Your zodiac sun sign symbolizes the ways in which you radiate out to the world. It's the glowing essence of your personality and the premise of most horoscopes, meaning most people begin their forays into astrology through their sun signs. However there are other aspects of your birth chart to be aware of, including your moon sign, that reveal important things about your personality. An example, you're a Sagittarius who's not into traveling, or a Cancer who focuses more on facts than feelings? According to the teachings of astrology, an individual's unique complexities are revealed by their complete birth chart.

Like a photo of the cosmos at your moment of birth, this chart serves as your astrological fingerprint.

It contains a comprehensive collection of planets, asteroids, and celestial points that correspond to different aspects of life. Upon reviewing your birth chart, it's clear that the sun sign is only the tip of the iceberg: There are dozens of placements to explore.

Your moon sign is one of the most significant aspects of your astrological profile and is calculated based on the position of the moon at your time of birth and represents your emotional inner world.

The moon orbits the earth every 27.5 days, gliding across the zodiac into a new astrological sign every two and half days. Within its fast-moving cycle, the moon's appearance is constantly transforming: Its shape and luminosity is dictated by its proximity to the sun and Earth. Over the course of a month, the moon will assume many different forms, emerging as a bright sphere during the full-moon phase; in diverse crescent shapes during its waxing and waning phases; and then as entirely invisible during the new-moon phase.

Pisces Moon

The final sign of the zodiac is associated with great empathy and innate psychic powers. Accordingly, sensitive Pisces moons are constantly absorbing energy. They feel deeply, and without an anchor, they can easily be engulfed in a sea of emotions. Those with this placement should honor their moon sign by celebrating their otherworldly creativity and benevolent generosity.

So even though my zodiac is a Pisces my moon is an Aries Moon

The first sign of the zodiac, Aries is known for an impulsive and fiery disposition. Likewise, those born with an Aries moon are often identified by their signature hot-headedness. Aries moons know what they want (or, at the very least, their desires can feel like needs). They're emotionally satisfied by excitement, spontaneity, and victory, whatever that means to them.

I really do resonate with my signs and I don't think I ever realized how much . I can be known to be hot-headed. In fact my husband's nickname which remained secret up until a year ago when I'm angry is "Dragon Lady" I believe it too. While my Pisces nature seems to keep me cool, calm and collected I do have my limits and once I'm past them, or angry -I'm angry.

I also do find so much joy in spontaneity and victories. Sometimes a victory for me mean's completing a project, keeping a promise for my kids, or achieving a long sought after goal. My best memories have came from spontaneous actions, trips and adventures and I wouldn't change a thing about it.

The Cons :

Weaknesses: Fearful, overly trusting, and a desire to escape reality.

Overly Trusting. I feel personally attacked. I'm kidding, well sort - of. I actually am and was overly trusting. I've always had that flaw of seeing the good in everyone and thinking if I just do this or just do that I can help bring it out, nature it make the good outweigh the bad. What I , and many others forget. It's not a horrible thing to see the good however we must remember that just because people are capable of being good it doesn't mean they are or want to be a good person. Its a lesson that unfortunately took me getting hurt , scammed and bamboozled once or twice to learn more healthy boundaries and that trust is earned, not given. Returning to the earlier comment of feeling like the world is a cruel place I do sometimes wish for a escape from reality.

I try though to do that through reading and writing. I create my own reality's when the real one isn't enough or is making it hard to exist peacefully within it. I also sometimes feel as though I'm in another world when I'm in the water.

So this does resonate with my personality and interests though I don't like to write that off as a complete weakness because I believe we all need a escape from reality sometimes.

Life can get and be hard. It's time we openly admit that more and stop judging others for having periods of struggle where they'd rather be somewhere else. One good example is the dentist. I hate the dentist and even at 28 laying in their chair I try to pretend I'm not actually there. I don't think many would blame me for that. Except well, maybe the dentists. For the most part I'm pretty fear free , however I do hold the fears a lot of people do. My kids getting hurt when away from me, car accidents , etc. When bad days and feelings do arise I just rely on Disney and Pixar's film Finding Nemo & Finding Dory because there are few situations in life where the motto

"Just Keep Swimming"

can't get you through at least the first hurdle of whatever issue you're facing.

Mostly Accurate

ourmindfullife.com

Overall I find my sign's to be fairly accurate. I truly love bodies of water and swimming, something that my family never really figured out as most of them didn't care much for the water. I love animals and nature, find solace in kindness, creativity, spontaneous adventures, cooking and the night sky. I love many things and people and give my Pisces/Aries Signs credit for my killer and unique personality. I also give credit to my signs for helping me remain on track for fighting for my goals and aspirations. I also don't think I would be much of a writer without my imagination and I got at least part of it from my fishy friends. I couldn't be happier with my sign though I do wish I had figured out how to control my emotions sooner in life and set boundaries. I'm excited that I've done enough self growth to help my own kids learn to manage their emotions in healthy ways and grow to be happy and healthy while also setting their own boundaries in their lives. And of course this Piscean still has a long and great journey ahead with plenty more spontaneous sometimes hot headed, empathetic and wildly imaginative memories to make and experiences to have.

So overall a Pisces is considered to be

Tolerant, modest, dreamy, romantic, humorous, generous, emotional, receptive, and affectionate. They are thought to have an honest character. Intuitive, compassionate, artistic, gentle, wise, and musical. Imaginative , fun, and quirky. I find these to be accurate representations of myself and I hope others do too!
