How to cure fever naturally

Fever is a symptom of an underlying condition, so the treatment will depend on the cause of the fever.

In general, the goal of treating a fever is to reduce the patient's temperature to a normal level and to relieve any discomfort caused by the fever.

People are trained well at writing a leave letter for fever, but many doesn't know how to treat fever naturally.

There are several non-medicinal ways to reduce fever and relieve discomfort. Here are a few ways to do that:

Fasting: Stop taking food as one would hardly feel hungry during fever.

Cool compresses: Place a cool compress, such as a damp cloth, on your forehead or the back of your neck to help bring down your body temperature.

Hydrate: Drink plenty of fluids, such as water, juice, or broth, to stay hydrated and prevent dehydration. Avoid alcohol and caffeine, which can dehydrate the body.

Room Temperature: Keep the room cool, or use a fan or air conditioner to promote perspiration and lower body temperature.

Dress lightly:

It is recommended to wear light breathable clothes such that the temperature from the body escapes into the surrounding environment and provides some relief.

Ginger: Ginger can help to reduce fever and soothe nausea. You can drink ginger tea, chew on fresh ginger, or take ginger supplements.

Lukewarm bath or shower: Taking a lukewarm bath or shower can help to lower your body temperature and promote sweating.

Calm: Don't panic and be calm as overthinking will create more problems.

Steam: If you are hungry go for steam cooked food or liquid diet.

Child's behaviour: If they are drinking, eating, sleeping normally, and is able to play, you do not need to treat the fever.

Instead, you should wait to see if the fever improves by itself.

If the cause of the fever is known, treatment should be aimed at addressing the underlying condition.

Treat Naturally:

There are various medicines available in the market for fever, but most of them just reduce the temperature and never treat the root cause. In majority of the cases

your body gets healed by itself within few days, by taking proper rest and following appropriate diet.

Personal Experience

Few years back, one evening my body temperature was high close to 100F and I was little shivering as well. People around me wanted to consult a Doctor and take approriate treatment.

They were literally in panic mode. Even though it was shivering for me, I stayed calm and wanted to take rest that day. I skipped dinner as I was not hungry at all.

Went inside my room and started taking rest. I fell asleep by 7 pm. It was actually a deep sleep and suddenly woke up around 4 AM. I was feeling very tired and had difficulty

in walking to the washroom. After sometime I realised my fever has gone away, but now I was hungry in the early morning.

I found only bread available in the kitchen and ate 5 slices of bread with Fruit Jam. Drank a glass of water and sat in my bed. I was happy because , fever flew away without taking

any medicines at all. I couldn't believe it at all. I heard about treating fever naturally but experiencing it for the first time. I may not really know the root cause of fever, but

if you allow your body to self heal with proper care & rest, it does wonders without any external medication.

It's important to note that fever itself is not a disease, but a symptom of an underlying condition. If fever persist for more than three days or if other

symptoms arise such as a rash, or severe headache it is important to consult a doctor to identify the underlying cause and receive proper treatment.

Happy Healing
