World Bank and third world countries



World Bank group have been feeling out all manners of lectures and money to help the third world countries in their recovery after covid-19 pandemic. But the questions most stake holders were asking is:

To recover from what and to where?.

Let be honest with ourselves, covid-19 gave many countries, individuals, firms and groups opportunity to hide their sins and claim what there were not. Before the Advent of covid-19 pandemic, most third world countries were exactly where they were now, before, during and after the pandemic. Infact, till date, most third world countries still don’t believed that the pandemic exist. So, what are most recovering from?, What in the educated reasoning of their leaders don’t exist, they have not witnessed any harm, rather, the pandemic had created opportunity for them to enriched themselves. They had bee shouting their heads off to the international bodies for more to tackle pandemic that exist only in their head.

Pandemic produced a new wave of leaders in third world countries, most advanced hushpuppi of their various countries. Most were even coordinating their efforts to maximize what’s coming to them from international bodies. Even their continental bodies were behaving as if it is their official duties to make sure as much as possible entered their continent, all in the name of recovery from covid-19 havocs.

The main question should be: which havocs are they recovering from, where were they before and after the pandemic?.

The government don't believed, masses don’t believed, none does, but money that comes with believing can’t pass them, so, they believed. If it takes social distancing, quarantine, masks to attract the money, so be it them. If they really believed, how come none from the leaders to the lead were not observing covid-19 dos and don’ts.

Politics is business not service in most third world countries, it’s the sector most people both old, young, educated, and illiterate are working towards all their lives. Power, appointments, money, and other paraphernalia is tradition and culture; must-have targets of most people in third-world countries.

It’s not only regarded as insurance against poverty, insecurities etc. But, it’s a way of lording it over their subjects, acquiring easy money and ensuring family legacy.

It’s reason most are languishing in poverty, civil war, illiteracy and diseases in all sectors of their lives.

Corruption from top to bottom were normal practice. It’s regarded as being foolish when you wants to work for the masses. The relatives would want to know if the person has mental problem. You’re there to acquire you wealth. All the sector that makes up the economy were being manned by people behaving the same way as described above.

There had never been foundation for development and progress in the first place before covid-19. It had always been negative story after another for years. So, the pandemic only provide opportunity for those leaders to see what to embezzle.

How will the economy that have not shifted recover.

Banks: there were poorly managed, the managers were corrupt, most were incompetent. Loans were given on theirwn terms to few people that knows that something like that exist at all. Most were illiterate business people, only about 10percent of the business people has need for loans in the bank. Then check their records, each, about 40 percent of loans were on record to have been granted. The managers grant themselves and relatives loans.

Health sector: was never anything to write home about. It was poorly equipped both by the equipment and staff, even before covid-19 that it was even covid-19 that made most to look like hospital. Some leader were forced to do something because of covid-19 to be able to get money from international bodies.

Vaccines: were being handled with doubts, most don’t believed in pandemic, so, how would they believe in it’s vaccine. They’re flowing along for stake holders to see and forward money.

Small scale businesses and household means of income are the same. Before the Advent of covid-19, their businesses were in perpetual recession state, during-the-stay at home, mask and social distancing, their business remained the same. The covid-19 period favored them. The government shared some Rice’s and other things with few lucky ones. Considering the state of some nation's economy, the retail sector has always been in a comatose state. The policies of most States were enemies of prosperity. It was meant to shackle people.

IMF, World bank and other international bodies must take tactical steps to tackle the reforms and restructuring of the economy of the third world countries. They must be serious monitoring and fellow up plans to ensure that the money being released were channeled into what’s released for, or else, the whole money would end up in personal accounts in far east or Western world. There has to be pressure like war actions to make the leaderso not just map out plans but take action in their implementation.

Extraordinary times as the saying goes, always means extraordinary crimes. So, extraordinary monitoring is required too.
