Things I Would Do if I was in Charge of My Country

A few think this could go really well or really badly for some things.

1) Eliminate homelessness

Quick search on Google estimates that 2% of the world’s population are homeless. My gut instinct tells me it’s higher. It should be zero. Institutions need a revolution. There’s plenty of empty properties and rooms out there that need filling. There is no excuse for people to be sleeping out on the streets. Everyone would feel safer if they were gaurenteed a place to stay.

If for whatever reason someone has to be evicted from a property, suitable arrangements should still be made to ensue tenants actually have a place to stay.

There are far too many sleeping rough on the streets.

2) Military Veterans Should Be Treated Like Royalty

I’m against war. Violence solves no problems and only creates poverty and restriction. Military veterans that were willing to sacrifice everything for the safety of their country should be treated like royalty. Unfortunately, there are far too many cases where war veterans are forgotten the moment their injured or their duty is over. The government that they promised to protect, failed to look after them in their time of need.

3) Death Penalty to child sex offenders and killers

I am normally against the death penalty, but I don’t see sexual predators, nonces or child killers as humans. They are monsters and thus should be exterminated. It is a waste of money and resources keeping them alive.

This doesn’t apply to those who have had to have abortions for whatever reason. The world cares too much about the children that might be born, but don’t care enough for the people already here.

4) Reusing Plastic Bottles and Packaging

If a “single-use” plastic bottle can last up to 500 years? Why can’t we just wash them up, send them back to their factories to be used again? If we stopped making plastic bottles and just refused the ones we already made, wouldn’t that be better for the environment. Plastic maybe the biggest problem, but it might offer the big solution.

5) All Institutions Need Revolutions

We are trained to do things by the previous generations’s standards and way of things. But by the time your education is complete, the world you’ve been training for no longer exists. Is it any wonder that we are filled with constant dread and anxiety every day. The feeling that we are never good enough because everyone else seems to be having a practically perfect life?

I feel that there needs to be a revolution in these kind of things. Allowing toxic cultures to thrive at school, only makes it unbearble in adulthood.

6) Tighter Gun Control & Security

Tighter gun control and security is essential to make sure these tragic school shootings don’t happen again. It’s a pitiful waste of human lives.

7) Wages that match the cost of living.

Everything seems to be going up apart from wages. People can work all day, everyday till Christmas Day and still not have enough money to live on. It’s modern day slavery at its finest.

8) People That Push People to Suicide Must be Charged with Manslaughter

Any kind of bullying is wrong. In extreme cases we have seen it drive people to suicide. If a person dies unexpectably due to a suspected suicide, I think social media messages should be traced for any foul activity. If any offensive messages were sent to the person who tragically chose to end their life should be given jail time. Telling somebody to kill themselves or to threaten or provoke violence (even if you don’t go through with it) makes you a coward with blood on your hands.

9) Basic Rations & Allowances to All Households

This would help reduce the pressures of food banks, but they would probably still be needed. Lots of people are struggling with getting proper nutrious meals, even basic rations of food, drink and some money allowances would make a big difference for those in the poverty line.
