That morning, the company secretary informed my friend that the general manager wanted him to come to his office. At that time, my friend promised to come right away, but he was caught up in something and was 10 minutes late. But the general manager couldn't wait, so he told his secretary that he had to go to an important meeting and would come back.

Soon, my friend arrived and walked straight to the general manager's office as if no one was watching. Seeing this, the secretary hurriedly came to explain that the general manager could not wait to leave the general manager's office.

The friend felt a little embarrassed and scolded the secretary, "How do you make a secretary? Why don't you arrange your time well? Do you think I have the free time you do? The company's profits are not going up because of loafers like you. If I became general manager, I would fire you right now."

To my surprise, the secretary not only did not fight back but calmly poured him water and asked him to sit down to calm down. The friend felt bored and had to huff away.

At this time, the colleagues come around to fight against injustice, ask the secretary why not refute, eat such a dumb loss? The secretary said, "He just talked too much, nothing serious. The boss is not in if I quarrel with him, will not affect the reputation of the company? If the boss goes out in the future, he will be worried about the company." Everyone shook their heads at the secretary's explanation as a sign of weakness. But the secretary smiled disapprovingly.

The next day just went to work. The general manager asked the secretary if he had any business yesterday. The secretary said calmly: "Your appointment manager Wang came, he saw you not, and went back."

I didn't think it was a big deal, so I didn't report it to you. It happened because I didn't do my job properly. Besides, you are so busy with your work, I don't want to bother you with such a trifle."

The general manager thought for a moment and then said softly, "OK, that's it. That's not bad."

What my friend did not expect was that he would have a hard time. Not only did the general manager take an opinion of him, but few other employees in the company came close to him. Over time, some important tasks are not done by friends. In a company, if you can't do something important, it means you can't do something productive. Sure enough, my friend's department ranked last in annual efficiency. Finally, as a department manager, my friend had to submit his resignation to the general manager...

My friend's experience reminds me of a story:

Toshio Higuchi, a Japanese businessman, has devoted all his energy to creating a pharmaceutical company called Kujin, which is small because it is in its early days. It operates three small pharmacies along the Keiban Railway. But somehow, after a long time, despite all their efforts, business at all three pharmacies was sluggish. An anxious Toshio Higuchi walks up and down the railway line each day to inspect three pharmacies. However, he could not find the reason for the poor management.

One day, the bored Tongkou Junfu sits on the trolley car to relax. By accident, he saw several pupils playing in the car with a triangle ruler. The triangular ruler in front of his eyes suddenly reminded him of a military drama, in which a commander once said: "These straight points are easy to be cut off by external forces, which is often the biggest reason for failure. To maintain close cooperation with friendly forces, at least three elements should be ensured. In this way, the dots connect so that the triangle in the middle is protected."

Thinking of this, Toshio Higuchi became excited. He finally found the problem. As soon as he got home, he spread out the map and saw that his three pharmacies were spread out in a straight line -- this was where his business had failed!

Suddenly, he adjusted his thinking: if the three pharmacies are arranged in a triangle, then the area of the middle part is obtained. In this way, the people who live in the three lines of the triangle will come to my pharmacy to buy medicine.

Soon, Toshio Higuchi acted on the idea. Sure enough, business at the drugstore miraculously picked up. A year later, he used one of the pharmacies to open two other pharmacies as separate points, again forming a triangular layout...

A few years later, he had 1,327 stores. Later, his "triangulation" became so popular in the business world that it was included in many university marketing textbooks.

The reason why my friend failed is that he did not understand this "triangle management method" -- did not deal with the triangle relationship between himself, his secretary, and his boss, which led to the ultimate instability of his interpersonal relationship in the company.

The interpersonal relationship in our life is the same as the "triangle management": each person can form a "you, me, and him" interpersonal triangle with himself as the center. The balance will not be lost only when the three are well managed. For as you treat me, I will give him the same attitude, and he will treat you in the same way.
