The Soul Wants What The Soul Wants

Making the connection

The soul wants what the soul wants. This is the truest of truths. Once it finds, identifies and accepts what it wants, the journey truly begins. It is often said that some people search a lifetime and never connect with another individual on such a level. It is not always easy to make such a connection. It requires a lot of energy and time, work and patience. If you are strong enough in mind, body and spirit and sometimes lucky enough to find this, it is all worth it. It is a bonding that goes beyond physical. It is spiritual and transcendental. It is the highest form of love. It goes much further than the simple words “I love you.”

The kind of connection where your heart literally hurts when you are far from them. It’s knowing when they are close and feeling what they feel. Just “knowing” when you are needed and being willing to be there at that time. No words or gestures are needed. Each knows what the other wants or needs. It’s knowing when to back off and when to pull in closer. There’s a kindness and compassion that evolves from this relationship. An understanding that goes beyond normal understanding. It is surreal.

There is an invisible string that binds these two together. One that has been there since birth. Destined to be together. The string will tangle throughout your lifetime but never become disconnected from either. Until one day, when everything aligns and the time is right, when they will find each other and finally connect. Until then they may search and make wrong choices but it is all in the process given us by fate or destiny if you like. They may even find each other then lose each other for a time but eventually they will be together.

You can only have one of these because there is only one thread. I myself have had a few relationships in my lifetime but only one true soul connection. I had searched all along but never really found. I thought I had found it but sadly was wrong. Life goes on. When you least expect it, you turn a corner and there it is. You wonder why you didn’t see it before or why it took so long but the truth is, it arrives when you need it most and at the right time in your life.

Some call it a soulmate. I prefer to use soul connection. You are “connecting” on a plane unlike no other. It’s just my preference. People have asked “How will I know?” the answer is one that most don’t understand...you just know! There is no foolproof way of telling and everyone experiences it differently. I can tell you from my experience, your heart will know. More than anything else the heart knows. It’s a feeling, a sensation, a thought, a word, a heartbeat. A soft touch, a light brush, an unspoken word, a look. A sigh, a content feeling, an intense urge. A yearning, a whisper in the dark, a dance in the rain, a hand to hold and a beautiful starlit night.

Some people go a lifetime alone and lonely. That’s not to say that people who choose to be alone are lonely. They just never find that one person they can connect to. I have been lucky enough to have found mine. If you have not found yours yet do not give up hope, when the time is right you will make that connection. The soul wants what the soul wants and it doesn’t stop until it finds it.

Much Love, G.
