We call Influencers everyone that's on Instagram and other social media precisely because of what?

To influence someone is somehow to seduce that person, to make that person fall for our words or acts, for our ideals.

The influence can only happen when there's an attraction; no one will ever be influenced by things they are not attracted to.

Which senses are mostly connected with the power of being influenced by, is it vision?!

Are we human vessels of influences and influencers?

Our eyesight is naturally related to our imagination, and our imagination belongs to our minds.

Naturally, to learn, our minds need to be humble and free to remain receptive to good pieces of advice and knowledge.

But how do we keep our minds humble and free?

For example, Why is it easy for so many of us to believe in conspiracy theories rather than simple facts?

Why does someone think that a new lockdown is a strategic way to get more money from the EU, instead of understanding the simple fact that, if a big part of the population is not yet vaccinated, a lockdown is the only reasonable option to keep hospitals working, and the only affordable choice to stop more deaths from happening!

Why are facts always so hard to acknowledge?

Is it perhaps because one has lost touch with that humble side of his mind and acts now as if he knows everything?!

Now, is one that knows everything ready to receive any advice or to learn anything new?

Does reading serve only to corroborate his knowledge?

Does this person read with particular scorn because all knowledge is in his power?!

On the I Ching or the Book of Changes, it is written that the influence is best shown in the back part of the neck, which is the most rigid part of the body, the same is to say that the will of this person remains firm and the influence does not lead to confusion.

Aren't we living in a colossal confusion?

So (and I'm nearly stopping the questions here), what kind of influence should we be seeking?, because it's clear that the Social Media influencers are only spreading confusion.

In the I Ching, we can also read that the only real influence comes from within, which takes place in the depths of the being.

The only significant influence is the one created inside us.

The only significant influencer is within us.

The best social media we should connect to are our mind, body, and soul, the whole trinity.

And once we finally stop all the influences coming from the outside influencers, the truth reveals itself. The fundamental universal influences and forces will grow inside us humbley and freely, but in a strong neck, nurturing our verticality and dignity.

António Damásio, a very known neuroscientist, works mainly on the subjects of emotions and feelings.

In one of his books, the main idea is that emotions are a vast ocean in which we dive in every day without even acknowledging it. In this vast ocean, if we don't learn to swim as quickly as possible, we will naturally drown, due to the massive emotional waves, but if, instead, through consciously understanding that emotions are coming from outside, that can or cannot define our feelings.

On the other hand feelings are built inside us, are created in response to certain emotional waves, same is to say that, if we consciously know emotions don't instantaneously build up our feelings, that we are the ones that decide with which feeling we want to have, we can suddenly, not just swim elegantly in this vast ocean, but we can even walk on water as someone we all know did!
