Imagine starting a journey to find a treasure or something that’s supposed to make you a better person and make you you reach you goals then you find it and grasp it with all your might not allowing it to breathe so you don’t have to deal with it not being there anymore and it stays there allows you treasure it, allows you have it and make you think that’s life would be just fine cause you’ve found this one thing, this one thing that makes everything so much better than what it was. Then all of a sudden it disappears no reason, no way to find it, just puff it’s gone. That’s what it feels like to lose love but for me it didn’t feel I like I lost just love it felt like someone took my arm and said it’s not enough and then took my leg and it still wasn’t enough and just kept on taking a part of me till it was just half of my heart I had left to hold on to.

love, an emotion that binds us together fills out lives with literally all our desires in one and this same love also leaves a nasty scar, a profound pain. The loss of love either through a breakup or the loss of a loved one unlocks a complex emotion that explores stages of griefs that teaches us lessons and gets the lucky ones into a healing process.

So in this article I endeavor to talk about a pain I know so much about, a pain that left me scared, left me for ruin, left me in a place that could only be described as my lowest point but it also brought out the best in me.

When we loss love we tend to go trough different stages of grief namely

The Nature of Loss:

The loss of love can manifest in various forms: the end of a romantic relationship, the loss of a loved one, or the fading of a friendship. Regardless of the specific circumstances, such losses can have a profound impact on our emotional and psychological well-being. The pain and emptiness that accompany such loss are often overwhelming, leaving us feeling vulnerable and lost.

Grieving the Loss:

The grieving process is a natural response to the loss of love. It is essential to acknowledge and honor the emotions that arise during this period. Denying or suppressing these feelings may hinder the healing process. Grief is a journey unique to each individual, and there is no set timeline for its completion. It is crucial to allow oneself the time and space needed to heal and reflect.

Acceptance and Reflection:

While the loss of love can be devastating, it also presents an opportunity for growth and self-discovery. Accepting the reality of the situation is the first step towards healing. Reflecting on the relationship or connection that has been lost allows us to gain valuable insights about ourselves and our needs. This introspection can lead to personal growth and a better understanding of what we desire in future relationships.

Seeking Support:

During times of loss, it is vital to lean on support systems comprised of friends, family, or even professional help. Sharing our feelings and experiences with others can provide solace and a fresh perspective. Engaging in activities that bring us joy, such as pursuing hobbies or practicing self-care, can also aid in the healing process.

Embracing Change and Resilience:

The loss of love often brings about a significant change in our lives. While change can be intimidating, it also presents an opportunity for personal growth. Embracing this change and learning to adapt to new circumstances can be transformative. Building resilience allows us to navigate future challenges and relationships with a newfound strength and wisdom.

Moving Forward:

Though the loss of love may leave a lasting impact, it does not define our future. As time passes, the pain gradually subsides, making way for new possibilities. It is crucial to remain open to love, albeit cautiously, and to believe that happiness and fulfillment can be found once again.

Conclusion:

The loss of love is an inevitable part of the human experience. While it may seem insurmountable in the moment, it is essential to remember that healing is possible. The journey to recovery involves acknowledging our emotions, seeking support, and embracing change. Through self-reflection and personal growth, we can emerge stronger and more resilient, ready to welcome love back into our lives.
