Focus on the details of the workplace, analyze the rules of the workplace, share workplace experience, and welcome to "cold star chasing dreams".

Xiao Liu is a technical man, a graduate have come to the company, to now have 7 years, seven years in the company's new projects, difficult projects have his participation, is home recognized business capable. But because his personality is too introverted, and not good at communicating with people, to the company for 7 years, but also only a 3-person team leader only, delayed to promote the supervisor and manager.

He thinks it's not a big deal because although he is not a leader, he can get some bonuses because of his excellent skills, so he can make a decent living; however, compared with those supervisors and managers, his year-end bonus is not as good as the others. So every time a few good friends get together inevitably listens to his wife's bunch of complaints.

Perhaps because we could not bear to see him in such a situation, or perhaps because his wife said every day that we felt annoyed, we finally gave him a few brothers to develop a "process-style" implementation program, so that his daily work by this program operation implementation. Six months later, we found that the results were really good, and he was promoted to supervisor as he wished, managing three teams under him.

What kind of implementation plan was it? I hope that introverts can use it in their daily work to improve their work status.

First, let's start with the typical characteristics of introverts in the workplace.

(1) They will only bury their heads in the sand and work hard. When colleagues push work that does not fall within their scope onto you, you will not refuse and may end up taking the blame.

(2) Fear of being seen by the leader in the company; you will be inexplicably nervous, talk incoherently, and be afraid to express yourself in the face of the leader.

(3) Not being named in meetings and hardly ever taking the initiative to speak.

(4) They are usually transparent and vulnerable in the workplace.

And again, the operational process.

01 Overcoming fear of the leader

Technical man

(1) Report to the leader on the progress of work at least once every two days. (1) Report to the leader at least once every two days, once a day for key and critical work at the company/department level.

In the first month, daily reports were written and weekly verbal reports with a weekly summary report.

From the second month onwards, daily reporting will be verbal, once a week with a weekly summary report.

Note that in addition to verbal reports, key points of work also need to be accompanied by written reports.

Insist for half a year, and form your work practice of verbal reporting until you have trained yourself to speak to the leaders without timidity and naturally.

(2) Prepare twice a day what you will say after a chance encounter with the leader. For example, think of scenarios: what do you say to the leader when you meet him in the bathroom? What should you say when you meet the leader in the dining hall?

I will share with you the method that my master taught me when I first started working.

When I first went to work, my master taught me, every day to prepare a work on a difficult problem, (of course, their own to have a certain depth of thinking and solution ideas) in places outside the office suddenly encountered leadership, such as the toilet/dining hall/smoking area, etc., take the problem ready to ask the leader.

I am doing mechanical design, at that time I was working on a project at hand, the product somewhere needs to be welded, you can consider using slot positioning, or pinhole positioning, and then welding afterward, in fact, I have decided to use pin control positioning.

It just so happened that when I left work in the afternoon, I met the leader in the toilet by chance, and after my daily address, I asked him this question immediately, asking whether to choose slot positioning or pin positioning, I couldn't decide, so I asked the leader to give some advice. The leader immediately began to speak very professionally about many professional theories and practical experiences, from the toilet, has been walking to my computer in front, opening my design drawings, for the drawings and speaking a lot ......

Later, in the weekly meeting, the leader praised me, saying that I was about to leave work, the toilet is still thinking about work, and let everyone learn from me. It is logical that the subsequent big and good projects, the leaders let me be responsible for, I progressed quickly, and my salary is also drifting up.

So, when you meet a leader, keep calm and ask a work question (the leader's area of strength).

The benefits of doing so.

(1) Calmness allows the leader to feel from the details that you are calm and steady in your dealings. Some colleagues will show goodwill or cower in fear when they meet the leader, and so on. As soon as the comparison is made, the leader naturally understands.

(2) Ask questions. On the one hand, it shows that you work hard, on the other hand, allow the leader to show their strengths, and then perhaps also learn a trick or two from the leader.

The main thing is that asking questions can distract your fearful attention, focusing your main energy on the work problem and reducing the physical manifestation of the brain on fear.

(3) The leader shows a strong point in front of you, the heart will certainly be comfortable, and a sense of superiority, increasing the chances that the leader will use you again.

(4) As long as the leader feels that you work on the heart, people, and vain, and ask questions equivalent to half a master, he will be more likely to include you in his first line, in favor of their progress.

In short, the workplace is nowhere but the heart, grasping the opportunity to reasonably show themselves, to make their smooth sailing all the way high.

The above action points are to prepare well in advance, to rationalize your thoughts, and if necessary, to write them down in a small note/notebook so that you can communicate with the leader in a thoughtful, logical, and in-depth manner and leave a good impression on him.

02 Continuously recharge your batteries and speak your mind

(1) Continuously recharge your batteries to avoid using one work experience for 10 years.

Many people find themselves in key situations where they want to speak, but because others are using very professional vocabulary and they are just rustic, they don't have the confidence to speak.

This recharging can be done by attending additional training reading professional books or management books that relate to your work, and usually paying more attention to news and policies related to your industry.

(2) Before speaking, organize your expression ideas.

(1) concise and highlight the core points

This is to say the conclusion first, then the reason. First let the other party know the focus, to draw his attention and the desired results, and then tell him the corresponding reasons behind it.

2) Three points of divine logic are super convincing

The human short-term memory can only remember a maximum of three things, beyond which it is easy to forget. Grouping content into three points will give the impression of being organized and well-prepared.

The main points of the above actions are: to think logically and speak clearly.

In short, it is better to be able to do than to speak at work, and it is better to be able to speak than to express.

Expression, in this case, means actual expression in action as well as verbal expression.

If the above process is followed and adhered to, introverts will certainly no longer be introverted at work.
