friendship
C.S Lewis got it right: friendship is born when one person says to another: "What! You too? I thought I was the only one!"
THIS LIFE
On one of those summer evenings when you wish a Tuesday were Friday, Dave was sitting in the garden of his modest home nursing a glass of wine and reminiscing events of the day which has not gone favorably the way he expected. If wishes were horses, Dave would have wanted the day to play back again, perhaps, he would have done a thing or two differently and would not be as sad as he was now. Whatever he was thinking was very deep that he did not hear nor notice that his phone was ringing. It took the barking of his dog Lemon to jolt him out of his thoughts, startled but relieved.

JANE
To explain why I stand here in this fabulous resort, with so many of my friends and family celebrating my new life with me, I will have to bring you further back in time. It will help you understand my overwhelming yet delighted feelings of confusion and appreciation that have led me to this point. I am standing here still shocked at life's karma.

My last goodbye
It was the end of February, it had been a hard winter, and I could see the end of life lingering in his eyes. In the past year I have formed a relationship with an elderly man. A father son relationship would be a fitting description. His name is David, he is in his late 80s, and he lived in a small yellow house at the end of my street. I would describe his appearance as weathered, the valleys in his skin suggest his life has not been easy. He is the last survivor of his family and the toll of goodbye has marred him. He is a survivor though, still intact but in need of help. That's where I come in.

Unfinished Lilies of Hope
West Bengal, India, 1971 Adib caught a glimpse of her again. She was a few feet ahead of him in the ration queue. He had first seen her three days ago near the main refugee camp area, while she was talking to another girl of around her age. What had struck him was the serene aura she seemed to radiate, even with all the misery around them.

The Way
There was a time, that caused a sudden shift that forever divided my life into before, and after. Everything changed the day I stopped letting my expectations determine my reality, the day I sacrificed myself, and the day that I found the way. I met a man named Mark, and our paths did not cross in vain.
