Tinder Date 2020
“Tinder Date: Pandemic 2020” (the small black notebook dance) by Anthony Dwight Peebles It started like any date in a pandemic. It was wack as fuck. Solemn as fuck. Food good as fuck. When I returned from France last July, I felt super alone. The weirdest part about that "feeling" was I wasn’t alone in that sentiment. The whole "mf" world was with me. I’m from the United States, but I never like being in the USA; in ‘Merica. The whole fucking world is on fire, and I know it because I feel the heat. When I drove through the streets in a Lyft, in Chicago, after France, my eyes were stuck on all the businesses closed, wood panels “protecting” the commodified windows, of the shops. The absence of people, the idea of being afraid to be BLACK in my city, in my country, again. All I could see was the fire. The flames that exploded after George Floyd, after another BLACK MAN MURDERED ON MY MUTHA-FUCKING PHONE!!!!

Map of My Body
Cody. Cody said Kelly’s legs were fat; that’s why nobody had kissed her. Matthew chimed in from across the campfire to defend dream girl. Kelly dream girl was captain of the soccer team and had been nominated as royalty for every school dance since freshman year. She was muscular – Matthew discredited Cody’s answer, he had read muscular meant sexy these days. It should be noted, that Cody was seventeen years old and just now creeping his way up to my towering 5’8”; he too was muscular despite his elfish stature. But Cody had been fucking girls since he was fourteen – only the small ones. He had played on all the school sports teams starting the day he popped out of the womb and made ski movies in his free time. Cody was never smart nor did he ever see past his immediate assumptions, so I let him have his self-conscious idea of Kelly. Kelly was allowed to have stumpy legs because Matthew knew they were powerful.

Singles in Portland Find Love With Portland Matchmakers
It seems like more singles are now outsourcing the search for love to professional matchmakers in Portland. But why are so many busy professionals turning to matchmakers when online dating is the most popular option in today’s modern dating scene? The answer is simple! Matchmakers provide a time-saving and effective way of meeting relationship-minded singles. Sure, dating sites can give singles tons of dating options, but the quality of those options isn’t what relationship-minded singles are after. Matchmakers focus on quality over quantity and this is the reasons why so many singles in Portland are now investing in matchmakers.

Interracial in Las Vegas
Thousands of active men and women in Las Vegas are looking to date someone like you. Online dating can get you closer to your perfect interracial relationship—especially in Las Vegas. I’m residing in Las Vegas. I’m seeing an astonishing number of interracial lovers on the (famed) Las Vegas Blvd. I’ve never been so optimistic that I’ll find somebody to love for myself. I don’t feel compelled to date someone who ‘looks like me’. In Las Vegas, the possibilities are endless and it’s a breath of fresh air.

The Fanciest Bookmark
The bar was lifeless and gloomy and offered similar prospects for romantic encounters. “Jodi, why did you bring that?” Tina grimaced and pointed at Jodi’s little black book like it was an unspeakable object. Jodi’s response was to roll her eyes—a response which Tina evidently did not like.

Missed
Missed The sun falls through the window, landing softly against my face. I watch the glittery dust particles dance, and I think of her. When she was little, she would run around picking flowers on bright days like this, finding the dandelion husks (‘fairy dust’, she called them) blowing them into the air, or into my face, giggling. Her entire face would light up, and her laugh was infectious – like most children.

Falling for Tia
“What are you writing about now?” I question reaching my hand out to try and pull the little black book down, with my pointer finger, to get a peek inside. “Nothing!” Tia says as she slams the book closed. “Let’s get out of here.” “But we still have and hour and a half of class le,” I am cut off mid sentence as a voice comes over the intercom. “Attention faculty, staff, and students, we are having problems with our air conditioning working properly, we will be dismissing early today. Please walk, don’t run, and have a great weekend.” Tia looks back at me, “What were you saying, Jamie?” “I was saying lets get out of here!”
