Rothschild Family: The Untold History

The Rothschild family is a wealthy Jewish family that originated in Frankfurt, Germany in the 18th century. The family made its fortune through banking and finance, and quickly became one of the most powerful and influential families in Europe and later, the world.

The family's patriarch, Mayer Amschel Rothschild, began his career as a money lender and trader in Frankfurt. He quickly established a successful banking business, which he passed on to his five sons. Each son was sent to establish a banking branch in a different European city: Amschel in Frankfurt, Salomon in Vienna, Nathan in London, Carl in Naples, and James in Paris.

The Rothschild brothers' banking operations were highly successful and they became the bankers to many European monarchs and governments. They also made significant investments in various industries, including railroads and mining. The Rothschilds were able to expand their wealth and influence through their network of connections and their ability to quickly move money and information across borders.

One of the most famous Rothschilds was Nathan Rothschild, who established the London branch of the family's banking business. He is credited with making a fortune by being the first to receive news of the Battle of Waterloo and using that information to make profitable investments on the stock market. Nathan also played a significant role in funding the British government during the Napoleonic Wars.

Jacob Rothschild, 4th Baron Rothschild, is widely considered to be one of the most influential figures in the world of finance and is recognized

for his contributions to the world of business and philanthropy.

Many of the family members were patrons of the arts and sciences and donated to various charitable causes.

The Rothschild family has a long history of involvement in natural history and conservation. In the 19th century, members of the family, particularly Lionel Rothschild and his sons Nathaniel and Walter, were known for their passion for collecting and studying natural history specimens. They amassed one of the largest and most important collections of natural history specimens in the world, which included a wide range of animals, insects, and plants.

In 1892, Lionel Rothschild donated his collection of over 300,000 specimens to the British Museum (Natural History), now known as the Natural History Museum in London. The collection was housed in a new building on Exhibition Road, which was specifically designed to house the Rothschild collection. The Rothschild collection formed the backbone of the museum's ornithological collections and is still on display today.

Nathaniel Rothschild, Lionel's son, continued to collect and donate specimens to the museum. He was particularly interested in birds of paradise and donated several important specimens to the museum, including the first known specimen of the Wilson's bird of paradise.

Walter Rothschild, Lionel's other son, was also a collector and naturalist. He donated his collection of over two million zoological specimens to the British Museum (Natural History) in 1907. This collection included a wide range of animals, including mammals, birds, reptiles, and insects. Many of the specimens are still on display at the Natural History Museum in London.

During the 20th century, the Rothschild family's wealth and influence continued to grow. However, the family's Jewish heritage and the rise of the Nazis in Germany led to the persecution of the Rothschilds during World War II. Many members of the family were forced to flee Europe, and many of their assets were seized by the Nazis.

After the war, the Rothschilds were able to rebuild their businesses and regain some of their lost wealth. Today, the Rothschild family is still one of the wealthiest and most powerful families in the world. The Rothschild banks are still in operation and the family continues to make investments in various industries.

However, the Rothschild's banking empire has been greatly diluted with the passing of time and the division of their wealth among multiple family members. The family's influence is no longer concentrated in one particular business or industry. Despite this, the Rothschilds are still known for their wealth and influence, and the name Rothschild remains synonymous with power and wealth.

Today, Rothschild family , though the wealthiest in the world, they forced themselves to lead a private life. It is very hard to find any Rothschild family member in public.

They even have a separate education system for their kids, which is very difficult to be accessed by the public. The beauty is even 99% of the people in the world haven't even heard about the Rothschild family.
