Please say yes

It was almost evening on a slow summer day when Jiimin declared that he and Taehyung go on a trip to down the beach to take a as Jimin put it [“An extremely romantic walk by the ocean during sunset”] walk. To which Taehyung tried to agree with equally as much enthusiasm as Jimin, though not really as he had woken Taehyung out of the comfortable nap he was taking out on the porch of their tiny busan house near the beach.

They had known each other since middle school and had been dating since sophomore year in high school (to say that they were pining after each other would be an extreme understatement, Namjoons words). It was Taehyung who finally asked jimin out during the fourth month of school. He was tired of watching Jimin trying out relationships with girls he never liked when he knew that he could be a much better person for him, show him that he could be happy with him. So he did it, one frosty night and they had been dating ever since. To this day Taehyung still finds it shocking that Jimin even said yes (though their friends find it shocking that they were oblivious to their feelings for each other). But he likes that they worked out.

They’re walking on the warm sand that’s moderately cooling down as the sun sinks lower and lower in the sky. An abundance of purples, reds and blues dancing around in the sky all melding together to create the beautiful orange glow that highlights Jimin’s face beautifully. And all Taehyung can do is stare at him whilst he wiggles his toes in the now cold sand. “So beautiful” Taehyung sighs “wish I brought my camera so could take a picture” says Taehyung absentmindedly, “Yeah the sunset sure is gorgeous tonight” Jimin says sighing contentedly, “I was talking about you” and Jimin giggles a little at this “you’re so cheesy” he says exasperated and Taehyung just smiles at him, taking in every detail. How his blonde hair catches in the now dimming light of the sunset, and how his eyes turn into little crescents when he laughs or smiles.

“God you’re so beautiful” Taehyung says “I could look at you all day” Jimin blushes “Geez Taehyungie what has gotten into you” Jimin says looking away “you’re so…. Cheesy to-” he stops mid sentence as Taehyung stops walking “ I don’t know if it’s the sunsetting or if it’s just your mere presence but I really love and appreciate you Jimin, you make my days better than they could ever be. Ever since we met, you’ve just been this amazing person to me and I don’t think I’ve ever felt this way about anyone in my whole entire life” Jimin, to say the least is shocked. Sure he and Taehyung share their deepest feelings with each other but this time feels different and he can’t quite put his finger on what it is.

It’s then when Taehyung gets on one knee, super cliche is all Jimin can think as this is all happening but for some odd reason he just can’t seem to keep him tears at bay, “Park Jimin you make me the happiest man on earth and I’d love to spend the rest of my life with you” it’s then Taehyung pulls out a box and opens it revealing a gold engagement band. “Park Jimin will you marry me?” Jimin is full on crying by now because what the fuck? It was just supposed to be a cute, chill little walk on the beach but this is even better than what he wanted. “Fuck yes” he says hastily wiping away tears and sinking to his partners level, kissing him all over his face. “God you are so fucking cheesy Taetae” he sniffles after a few minutes of hugging and kissing “pfft yeah right, don’t act like you didn’t like it chim” he says helping them both up and dusting the sand off of the them. “Let’s go home” Taehyung smiled as he tugged his fiance towards the path that lead directly to their house.

And to say Seokjin was ecstatic for them would be the biggest understatement of the century.
