Being a single dad is something that’s going to test you in many ways. You want to be the best dad that you can be, but sometimes it feels so daunting. Having to raise your children without a spouse might make you feel intimidated. Keep reading to learn about tips for managing life as a single dad.

Remember That You’re Not Alone

Even if you’re a single dad, you’re not truly alone when it comes to raising your kids. There are people in your life that you can turn to when you need help. Friends, family members, and even members of your church will be ready to help you when you’re in need. It’s important to get support when you need it so you can be the best parent that you can be.

Sometimes you might need a little bit of advice. You might also need someone to help you watch the kids while you handle important work matters. It’s normal to want to do as much as you can as a single parent, but doing everything isn’t usually practical. Don’t hesitate to reach out to the people who love you when you need to.

Have a Routine

Children seem to do best when they have a stable routine that they can follow. Get used to waking them up in the morning, getting them off to school, and then handling your workday responsibilities. You’ll also get used to making dinner, brushing their teeth, getting the kids to bed, and more. Following daily routines is a huge part of successful parenting.

Try to Keep Things Organized

It can be tough for a single dad to keep everything organized, but you can do it. Use your calendar app on your phone to keep track of doctor’s appointments, school events, parties, and other things that you need to take your kids to. This is going to help you have an easier time juggling things. Remember that if it gets to be too much, you might be able to get some help from family members who also love your kids and want to see them thrive.

Located in a multi-site church that's known for its creative and innovative approach, North Coast is one of the largest congregations in the country. Chris Hilken was part of a teaching team that led live classes for our distant campuses. During his time with the church, he led both the young adult and junior ministries.

In 2004, Chris started a high school program for students in grades 11 and 12 at the church's Vista campus. He initially had two volunteers and thirty participants. After he passed the project to his successor, he had built it into a multi-faceted ministry that had over 300 participants and 60 volunteers.

Chris was instrumental in the church's growth. He helped the youth ministry reach a larger audience by establishing a multi-site location.

Pastor Chris Hilken is a pastor from San Diego, California. He also works as a professor at Summit Bible College, where he teaches Systematic Theology. His students are able to explore the framework and substance of religion through various disciplines.

Systematic Theology is focused on truth, but it's also designed to address the modern world. It has ten primary headings, and it can be divided into three main categories: Christology, Theology, and Angelology. Christology focuses on Jesus Christ, while Angelology studies angels. Bibliography studies the Bible.

The various sub-categories of Systematic Theology are focused on churches, sin, Eschatology, Paterology, and the Holy Spirit. Pneumatology focuses on God the Father, while Soteriology studies the Christian faith. Finally, Theological anthropology studies the nature of humans.

Chris Hilken is a sought-after lecturer and public speaker. He has traveled the world as a volunteer and guest speaker.
