Love chipped my wings

This is a short story i wrote initially on my blogger and later for womensweb.in.

Sudden huge doses of love have made you addicted and the high sends you back for more and more, even when it doesn't feel right. You felt like an addict looking for the next supply. But there is no supply ,instead your lover has made you his beast of burden, you are his puppet and you do everything he commands you to do.

You start losing a bit of you every day until your soul leaves you. Because she cannot live anymore in the hot mess you have created within you. Hypnotized you do everything, you sell yourself for that next bit of love overdose. The love , the drug felt so unreal. It felt out of the world. You believed it was yours. It absolutely completed you .

Not knowing that later on, it will also feel like a trap ,you innocently sink deeper in his sinister love. His love is different and you crave for more. You are unable to see the world around you, you ignore others love for his. You do not know why.

Love is not an illusion nor its a fantasy .It is way more than a fantasy but it can sway people far far away from the real world.You were fresh dough bought and shaped by a master manipulator . You seeked love as You felt inadequate .

Isolated from the world, you don't know why you are not trying to get out when your insides are crying for it, you are thinking your love supply will return, you are lonely ,fighting the knots in your gut which are churning and turning frantically hoping to wake you up from this horrific illusion. Your feet are raising by themselves in an attempt to take you away from the situation but you still do not want to go.

You do not want to give up. You will sacrifice everything for that dose of love which once made you feel heavenly. Never realizing it was a lie of lies, hiding his abuse ,you start finding mistakes in yourself . All the while Introspecting which flaw, which mistake ,which hair strand, which skin discoloration which phrase , which sentence , which laugh , which unfateful day sent the supplier away. This love was different, it exploded you every day. Every day it made you weak, a lesser human than yesterday.

The love drug supplier came only to steal from you , conquer you. He has taken everything which once belonged to you. your life, your identity. Now Bare you, steel cold inside, all alone dependent on the monster for everything. You are his captive now. You still ignore your heart bruises, you ignore your wailing inner voice but still why you do not want to give up.

Like any other very-intelligent predator ,he also has learned your weaknesses.He ate soaked almond for breakfast and had mango smoothies for strength but he needed your essence to function .He knew you are not the one to give up. You will stay to fight. He sensed already you will prove your worth . He learned you have a desire to be seen.

But one day your soul returns flying on a dragon fly . She finds her new body back, her anchor to this physical world . Like Dragonfly you died and came back from death. Transformed , metamorphosised , You , somehow have managed to found love within you. You are amazed to see the strength of this new found love, It made you enough. Once again believing in yourself, loving yourself you fly through his prison's wall as a sovereign you always were.
