Most of the psychological problems of a mentally healthy person can be compared to an atrophied or very weak muscle, without tone, which does not fulfill its predetermined function.

By analogy, this muscle can be brought back to life with training. Some may find the proposed procedures shocking, but be aware that they are very effective. Self-doubt is not a verdict, this feeling should not be allowed to accompany you all your life.

At the same time, self-confidence means freedom, the refinement of your personality, which will radically change your life. So let's get started with self-confidence training.

Be ready for a gradual change

Don't expect that by reading an article or a good psychology book you will instantly change and overnight you will become a different person. This will not happen. But you can go step by step towards the result. Achieving intermediate goals one after another, persevering forward, in the direction of change. One of these changes will be the ability to make a choice and take responsibility for your actions, along with the risk.

Don't be afraid to take risks

We often do not dare to risk tarnishing our image as decent and polite people. But the fear of mistakes is the most terrible killer of self-confidence and a strong argument in favor of lack of aggression.

In the beginning, try to prepare yourself to do simple things, realize that this will not hurt you, on the contrary, it will make you stronger. For example, one day you may take a risk and express your opinion.

To risk and defend your visions, but not to give in to the first counter-argument. Take risks and attract the attention of those around you, but also don't be shy. You will get all this step by step. Fulfilling simpler tasks one day, you can try your best at a theater stage or as a boss, at a higher position, etc.

Pretend you're self-confident

Not only do the inner personality changes lead to a change in behavior, but vice versa - change your behavior, and profound personality changes and profound changes will not belong in coming.

That is if you do not trust yourself, but you have already started working on this issue, help yourself through the gestures and postures of people who are confident in their strength. An example of a confident man is the position of the body with the feet at shoulder level, the back straight and the abdomen is drawn.

But it's even easier to follow self-confident people: how they talk, how they sit, what they look like. Follow their behavior and start copying them. One day you will realize that your subconscious is starting to follow your actions.

Capitalize on the key elements of self-confidence

Proper self-esteem, self-confidence and the fact that you will succeed in your endeavors, visions, and positive attitude towards life (and towards yourself), compassion for yourself. Review these qualities, find out what else can be done to develop them, take small but concrete steps.

Maybe you can be more tolerant of your own mistakes, not grind so much for your shortcomings. It would be even better to start bragging about small successes. Or cultivate the confidence that you will be able to cope with a task. Strive to take one of these steps every day!

Learn to live with doubts

Doubts, as well as fear or distrust, are natural human feelings. It is natural to be afraid when you fall from a height. It is natural to be overwhelmed by doubts if you are just starting. That's why you don't always have to dispel doubts - "being prepared" according to the proper recipe, they help to build self-confidence.

When I started taking my first steps in psychology, I was doubtful at every step. I doubted that I would be able to help anyone, that I would have the necessary knowledge, that I would not do more harm, that I would get certain results on a professional track.

May one day I realize that these fears and doubts strengthen my self-confidence and my strength. Experience and knowledge are deepened. Taken together, they make up "an appreciation of one's strength." To this day, with 9 years of experience behind me, doubts sometimes tempt me. It's just that they're "beneficial" now, as I like to call them. They help me stay in tune, grow, and stay alert. So as not to be overwhelmed by arrogance and to stop my growth believing that I am a super-specialist.

The moral is this: Being self-confident does not mean that you will never be in doubt! It's just that doubts won't get you down, you'll get used to living with them, enjoying their benefits, and sometimes overcoming them!

But do not forget the main rule, which always works: if in doubt - act! Fear gives rise to degradation. That's why you have to ignore her in a controlled way and all she has to do is leave you alone!

Active exercise and healthy sleep also influence your mood. A calm mind, a calm flow of thoughts will help build self-confidence. Meditate.
