Improving one’s metabolism needs a holistic and consistent approach. To get a better result, one can go with the following:

a. Engaging in high-intensity exercise

There is a need to keep the metabolism and fat-burning rate elevated for hours, longer than just the time you exercise. For this to occur, one needs to engage in high-intensity workouts. According to Dr. Bhasker, HIIT workouts, running, swimming, and cycling are some of the activities that one can try to improve one’s metabolism and burn fat. This can also help in the reduction or burning up of a lot of calories in a short amount of time.

b. Avoid skipping meals

The habit of skipping meals or eating less is not the proper way to lose weight. To be precise, it can have adverse effects on your metabolism eventually. Putting in Dr. Bhasker’s own words, “Eating at regular intervals helps to maintain the metabolic balance." "Having a small meal or snack 1-2 times between the main meals boosts metabolism.” From research carried out, taking snacks in between main meals helps one to eat less during meals. On the other hand, having long gaps between meals helps to slow down metabolism. This is not too good for the system as it increases the body’s ability to store fat. c. Take or consume green tea

The consumption of green tea is a healthy habit to be practiced if you are fighting body weight. Make sure to follow a diet that contains fat-burning foods. This helps speed up your metabolism.
