Emotional intelligence is the act of understanding, perceiving, use and manage our emotions in any given situation. There are many reasons for why we all should be emotional intelligent but the raw true is that to be emotional intelligent there are skill that need to be practice daily, since it affects our personal and professional life. Reasons for why to be emotional intelligent are a better life quality, better relationships, and a successful career. In this new era where the way of living is being improved, we have seen how many are choosing to become emotional intelligent not just for themselves but for the sake of our generation but been emotional intelligent means to still be aware that there are many people who are not aware of their own emotions and actions. People who are not emotional intelligent tend to offend others, do not know how to resolve conflict, maintain unhealthy or not relationships.

Observe how you react to people- been an open person not only relates to accepting others but is about being open to different perspectives and being able to put yourself in their place to understand their wants and needs. For example, when having a conversation with a person and this is expressing to you their concerns, try to show them how you can relate to them rather than changing the conversation to a different topic.

Self-Evaluations- being able to accept that we have flaws and weaknesses is a skill that should be practice since we can always work to be unique. One of the best examples of self-evaluations is when encountering conflict that we don’t know how to solve is fine to ask for help.

Do not react but respond to stressful situations- In stressful situations is better to maintain calm since many inconvenient situations cannot be controlled and blaming others will not be the solution. For example, when encountering conflict is better to understand both sides of the conflict and resolving it should be more important than blaming one another.

Take Responsibility for your actions- When your hurt peoples feeling intentionally or unintentionally is better to come clean and ask for forgiveness since avoid or ignoring the person would make the situation worse. Acknowledge when you have made a mistake an accept the consequences, because every action has either good or bad outcome.

An Emotional intelligent person is more likely to live a better personal and professional life, since they know how to react to situations, they are self-motivated and are more likely to manage successful relations. To become an emotional intelligent person be open for change and practice your skills to shape your personal and professional life. Studies has shown that emotional intelligent person is less likely to have suicidal tendencies, since they are able to have successful relationships and are self-motivated. Human interaction has become one of the primary facts for people to feel isolated and even depress, since we interact and show our emotions with one another daily. For a person that is already depress and has a lot of stress in their lives, human interaction reduces those suicidal behaviors. For humans to have a better live we should act and speak responsibly since many times we do not know what others are going through.

To conclude, emotional intelligence skills has become the key to a successful professional and personal life. For many years, in our society we have been told that in any situation not getting emotional was the key and showing emotion in situation was seen as weakness rather than a strength. For our society to move forward old habits must be left behind, since emotional intelligent skills can not only make our lives better, but it can also help others.
