One of the most shocking moments that happened at this year's Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) was when Nollywood actor and Big Brother alum Tobi Bakre won the award for "Best Actor" for his role in the hit movie Brotherhood, over industry titans like Blossom Chukwujekwu who did a superb job in The Trade, and veteran actor Chidi Mokeme who thoroughly killed it in his comeback role as Scar in the hit Netflix series, Shanty Town.
Since that award happened, none of the snubbed actors has really spoken about the whole ordeal, but now during a new interview with Toke Makinwa for Tea Talk, actors Chidi Mokeme, Kate Henshaw, and Jim Iyke finally address that whole situation of Tobi winning over Chidi, and Chidi finally speaks about how he feels about the whole thing. Here's what Chidi Mokeme had to say.

Here is how the conversation about the whole award fiasco went:
JIM IYKE: Why was there that award thing going on when everybody knew quite clearly who took the day? I don't understand that part. I ask from a place of no knowledge.
KATE HENSHAW: I hope you know that there is kporakpo inside that thing.
TOKE MAKINWA: Exactly! There is also industry nettings.
KATE HENSHAW: I'm sorry. There is kporakpo inside that award. I say it openly without fear or favor. It is a reward for people who are friends with the awards. Yes. So let that be out there. I said it. Kate said it.
JIM IYKE: Oh okay, now I get it. It's nepotism.
TOKE MAKINWA: Which is very much relevant in today's industry.
JIM IYKE: I just wanted to be schooled, trust me, I just want to be schooled.
KATE HENSHAW: I knew he [Chidi Mokeme] won't get it. Sorry
CHIDI MOKEME: I love you babe
KATE HENSHAW: I love you more!
TOKE MAKINWA: But at least you got the love, in the community, in the streets, you got the award where it matters.
KATE HENSHAW: He doesn't even care, this one [Chidi Mokeme] as he's sitting here
JIM IYKE: Awards, it has never defined [anything], I don't even attend.
CHIDI MOKEME: Look, I was getting my award as I was making the movie. I was coming out of every scene saying "Yes!"
