LETS CLEAN HOUSE

Spring cleaning is done around this time of year in March for some ritually. It's that time of year where you feel like it's time to declutter your life, out with the old and in with the new. Spring cleaning lifts your spirit and puts you in a better mood. However, we should do a declutter check every month to keep down on the buildup of hoarding junk and things that we don't need, but sometimes life gets busy. Spring cleaning is not just for cleaning your home, but also for cleaning your life metaphorically speaking if I could say so. On another level, we may have unwanted relationships that are toxic, weighing us down, and need to be detoxed from our lives freeing us from all the drama. Yep, absolutely, you heard it correct, removing toxic people is a spiritual part of spring cleaning lol. We could also go as far as to say, your body is a temple, which is the home you house, temporarily, so take care of yourself and don't misuse it, and don't allow others to either lol. Moving forward ijs (message lol)

Fresh Start

Nevertheless, how you take of your home shows a lot about your character and where your heart is. Many say cleanliness is next to Godliness. A clean home gives you a sense of peace that overcomes you, it cleanses your air, and satisfies your soul. Spring cleaning promotes good health. A clean home makes you want to turn on your favorite jam and dance to the fresh spring breeze that springtime brings. It's like your spirit gets happy about the fact that all the clutter is leaving your atmosphere, it's a fresh start. How many of us need a fresh start??? I'll raise my hand first lol.

Clean it Up

Why Spring Cleaning is Necessary

Breathing~ with winter leaving and spring near, winter leaves behind a residue, such as dust and dirt. The dust settles and the air quality in your home suffers and your respiratory health becomes at risk.

Declutter(less mess)~ Spring cleaning makes your home new to you again, it brings your home to life. This is another reason why most remodel their home to give it a new feel, by changing the atmosphere to feel comfortable again. Who doesn't like brand new right? brand new is a great feeling.

Increases productivity~ Have you ever felt sluggard because you feel like there is so much to do around the house and you are just exhausted from the workweek, and taking care of the kids, etc. ? A lot of the decrease in productivity stems from the clutter and the neglect of cleansing and organizing your home. Yes, your energy level will decrease.

Spring Cleaning reduces stress~ Cleaning the house is therapeutic because you know that when you're done you can enjoy a tidy home.

Spring Forth

Did you know that the Jewish do something similar to spring cleaning?

The process for Jews is called Kashering. Kashering is the infusion of pouring boiling hot water over sinks, utensils, countertops to purge the kitchen from any leavening agents that are forbidden on the Jewish Holiday. Kashering is at the least a 2-day process. Kashering purges the kitchen from any unwanted contamination from food that may have absorbed. The Jewish call this "making kosher". This cleaning process is apart of preparing for "Passover".

When do you start your spring cleaning? What is your spring clean ritual with your family? Spring cleaning for my home most of the time starts at the end of February and the beginning of March, but also throughout the year. Spring cleaning for my home is to complete the process of removing useless items, giving away things others could use, and deep cleaning etc.

In conclusion, Springtime is the perfect time to spring clean, the weather is refreshing and the sunlight is bright and beautiful, giving you that extra boost of energy you need. So, hey, get started on that spring cleaning, enjoy the spring breeze and the comfort of a clean home. Remember home is where the heart is, so take care of your home.
