First Love Or True Love?

What did I know about love when I was seventeen years old or twenty-one years old ? Twenty-four years old or thirty? Let us be honest what do we know at even forty years old about love? Love is always changing, Love is always growing, Love is always difficult and hard , but it is also so rewarding when you find the right person that you can love and be in love with for the rest of your life. Not everybody has that ,not everybody gets to spend Valentine's Day with a special someone . Some people go to a bar to try and pick up somebody just so they can have a date on Valentine's Day . Let us be honest do you know everything about love? Nah, I do not either, my husband does not, my best friend does not, her fiance sure the hell does not, my father sure does not, trust me if he did he would not have been married four times . I will tell you what I do know though . I know that when you find somebody that you are willing to go through the darkest of days for, when you find somebody who you are willing to go through all the bad stuff with that person instead of being with somebody else because it is just easy, that my friend... that is love. When you are willing to put up with shitty behaviors and in-laws that do not like you, kids that do not like you , that is love. Maybe you are a step parent and you have step kids that do not like you or your spouse's sister or brother do not like you, but you stick through it for that person that is love.

Going through all of the bad days and not just the good, going down the long dark road with them . Being there even when they are yelling at you , they are cussing at you, they are saying things that are not right to you, that's love. It is not always fair.

Sticking with somebody through thick and thin, For Better or Worse no matter what... That is true love . Love is not Cupid shooting arrows in your butt or getting flowers and chocolates . Love is raw , love is rough , love is not for the faint of hearts, love is taking care of your family above everything else . Your love for your child that drives you to go to work everyday, it drives you to take care of your family, it drives you to do everything that you possibly need to do. Love for your spouse makes you want to protect that person, makes you want to take care of that person, love is not always patient. Love does not hurt ,love does not destroy, but if you are not with the right person you will not be able to feel that real love and feel what real love does for you. If you have real love this Valentine's Day treasure that . Make sure you tell everybody that you love them whether it is romantic relationship , a best friend that maybe does not have a valentine and needs to feel special , or a brother or sister or a mother a father a son a daughter , make sure that you tell those people how much you love and adore them because one day you are going to be celebrating Valentine's Day but you arenot going to be celebrating Valentine's Day with them. One Valentine's Day it is going to be the first Valentine's Day that you do not have them and then you are going to look back on that and wish that you said so much more to them while they were here. Maybe they are going to be passed on or maybe the relationship is going to be ended. No one knows what the next Valentine's Day is going to hold . So husbands tell your wives you love them. Make this Valentine's Day super special.
