What does it mean to fall in love?

Feelings are the most common way to live an emotional life. And we can define them as follows: these are diffuse moods, which always have a positive or negative tone, which brings us closer or further away from what is in front of us.I will try to explain this definition:

1. The expression mood applies to something that is especially subjective . It is an inner expression. It is an experience that invades the person.

2. The word diffuse means that the information we receive is not clear, precise, but rather vague, ethereal, unclear with blurred and blurred contours, but will then be clarified little by little with this person's perception.

3. The tone is always positive or negative and therefore it approaches or removes, makes you look for this I do not know what, or reject it. There are no neutral feelings. Boredom, which could be an emotional manifestation close to neutrality, is negative and close to depression. Every feeling has two opposite faces: love-lack of love, joy-sadness, happiness-unhappiness, peace-anxiety, etc.

Falling in love is a positive feeling of attraction that occurs to another person and that makes you look for it insistently . Falling in love is a universal fact and of great importance, because it is the root of love and could give birth to a family.

ADMIRATION, PHYSICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL ATTRACTION, CONSTANT PRESENCE IN THE HEAD, THE SPEED OF SUBJECTIVE TIME IN THE POSITIVE, THE DESIRE TO SHARE EVERYTHING WITH THE PERSON IN MIND.

If we compare the fact of falling in love with a kind of "disease" we should point out two types of symptoms . Some initial symptoms are the first manifestations.

In order to fall in love with someone, certain preconditions must be met that have an enormous influence.

The first condition is the admiration for that person, who may have different reasons: the consistency of his life, his spirit of work, the difficulties he overcame, his ability to understand and a long and so on.

The second is attraction , which in men is more physical and in women rather psychological; for a man this means the tendency to look for the one who attracts him, to be in contact with her in one way or another, to be with her [1] . And this will lead to a change in behavior: always thinking about it, or in other words, always having it in mind. The mental space is invaded by this image that imposes itself on his thoughts constantly. Then two things happen that I find very interesting: the psychological time is accelerating , which means that you are so happy in his presence that time seems to fly, everything goes very fast: you feel good with him / her and enjoy this present; then appearsthe need to share ... which slides down a slope that leads to the need to undertake a joint life project.

The string may not always be as linear, although it looks almost the same with all the shades you want; everything is expressed in one way or another: admiration, physical and psychological attraction, constant presence in the mind, the speed of subjective time in the positive, the desire to share everything with the person.

In this affective itinerary, what I call essential symptoms of the approach of love is also missing: those who are the root and basis of everything that will come later and which consists in telling someone: I cannot imagine my life without you, my life it doesn't make sense if you're not with me. You are the essential part of my life project . To be honest: I need you. This person becomes indispensable.

Falling in love is the most sublime form of natural love. It means creating a particular "mythology" with someone. It means finding out that you have found the right person to go with for the rest of your life. It is like a sudden revelation that illuminates all existence [2] . It is about a special encounter between a man and a woman who immobilize themselves in front of each other. In this immobility appears the central idea: the division of life, with all that it entails.

"But what do we mean by love?" - Pope Francis asks - “Just a feeling, a psycho-physical condition? Of course, if so, we can't build anything solid on the above. But if love is a relationship, then it is a reality that grows and is built, like a house. Then do not build a house alone, but with others! Build it on the rock of true love, which comes from God ” [3] .
