Big Brother Naija Season 5: Lockdown believe it or not finished over two months ago, still the contestants who participated in this year’s season are still constantly in the media.

One such contestant who during the season caused quite the stir not because of anything he did in the house, but because of his life outside was none other than contestant Praise who told fellow contestant Brighto that he had a wife on the outside who Brighto says Praise told him was over 60 years old.

Today, Praise is in the news again and yes, once again, the reason he is in the news is because of his personal life and his wife. Actually, this time around it looks like it’s a new wife?

Without further ado, let’s talk about what exactly is going on with Praise, his new wife and what happened to his old wife.

The internet went abuzz on Monday, November 23rd when BBNaija contestant Praise posted the below pictures of he and his supposed bride, Akeelah, unto social media.

The social media star captioned the picture “Done and Dusted” and fans were quick to immediately flood the comments section with congratulatory messages.

Of course, some people asked about what happened to his other wife and what would happen to his son.

But to those people, I’m here to say FEAR NOT!

The Truth

Praise didn’t actually get married to this woman. The entire photoshoot was just that…a photoshoot to promote the bridal dress, makeup artiste, hair, décor, photographer, etc.

While Praise and Akeelah haven’t yet officially confirmed or denied the wedding rumors, it is obvious that this is all a promotional stunt and photoshoot.

For one, the model Akeelah changed her Instagram bio to read simply “Model”.

2.) Praise's own friends and fellow housemates all know it’s a joke and have been responding accordingly.

Vee said “LOOOL why did my heart stop when I saw this” with a laughing emoji.

Dorathy wrote “Congratulations fam” with a laughing emoji.

Even Tochi wrote “Happy married life bro” with two laughing emojis.

Praise responded to the comments above with laughing emojis as well signifying that this is all just a joke and not to be taken too seriously.

The final nail in the coffin came though when Praise’s own sister, Favour Nelson, revealed that he was lying on his Instagram page by writing:

Congratulations bro.. Even if I no go the wedding! lie jor! But awesome shots!

I guess Praise didn’t give her the memo to keep this ambiguous, she completely gave the whole thing away.

As of right now, Praise and his wife, the mother of his children, are still on speaking terms as per his last interview and his son is doing just fine.

This was all just a nice publicity stunt and photoshoot that I must admit, delivered some very nice pictures to the world.

A nice laugh as well if you ask me 😂🤣
