Did you ever thought how fortunate we are to live on a planet that brings life even when we, human beings, constantly, without any concerns, continue to enjoy and destroy mother nature, our planet!?

We are the most selfish species on this earth. While so concerned in build empires and legacy, money, power, letting our ambitions drive our actions, we are deaf while the planet call for help.

One tiny example of our destructive, consequent because of climate changes in our planes; THE CORAL REEFS.

Did you ever heard about them? How important impact they have on our planet, together with the ecosystem.

The Coral Reefs are like the garden of the ocean. They help build the structure composed of the skeletons of colonial marine invertebrates, which we call corals. They are essentials to many species who live undersea. Of fundamental importance to our ecosystem, helping in nutrient recycling, assisting within carbon and nitrogen-fixing, providing an abundance of nutrients for marine food chains, protecting coastlines, and most importantly, they are the habitats and shelter for many marine organisms. They are their home.

Because of the multiple stresses we put through pollution, and many other actions, causing the raising of the seawater temperature, the corals are dying...slowly bleaching worldwide. And then, we are losing our sea garden, the many marine fishes home.

Losing the coral reefs that we have for more than 400 million years means losing economically in different ways, from fishing to tourism.

Lose the Coral reefs means drastically reduce our biodiversity, creating a breakdown on the ecosystem health and functionality, which means less natural resources such as food and drugs, and so many other's things, that interlink the cycle of life on the planet.

And then, when we think we are winning. We are losing our planet, our nature, and the ecosystem, little by little. The earth's color and life are fading with many overdoing, inconsequential management of our natural resources, consequently leading us to death.

In the modern hurry we are living in, we forgot that the planet as his own time. He doesn't follow our modernism requests of changes, and as we run, demanding that the earth adapt himself to our ongoing changes. We do not hear him asking for a pause, a stop in the clock. To make us rethink and reflect on our actions towards nature because we are the ones who need to adapts ourselves on the planet time. It's the same to ask someone who just has had surgery to run a marathon. Probably would bleed to death.

And then, you are reading this and thinking, but how could I help the planet?!?. Well, you can help with the little actions of your day by day. You do not need to be a billionaire to separate your garbage, recycle on the recycle, paper on paper, you know. The little things you can do, make a big difference in the future. Do not concern yourself about others' actions when you do not carry significant, impactful change tools to help your planet. Make your little changes. Use your tools. And then, if we all gather together our smalls actions in the benefits of our mother nature. She will give us back at the right time. The next generations will thank you.
